It is definitely still HOT here in the city. Nothing but slinky dresses will do. And you know how obsessed I am with Reef rover sneakers?! The shoe I take from the beach after a day of surfing, and still get to the bar at night to dance the night away. For now, I’ll be in Chinatown stocking up on sriracha, noodles, and tofu for a few days back home in the city. After so much traveling and having the New York Fashion Week flu, I can’t wait to cook up a little storm in my kitchen. Where to next?! I’m off to Columbis, Ohio for work on Friday. Constantly packing. Constantly taking air-borne.

As you know, I’m a total festival go-er. I love getting down and dirty, traveling with just a tote, and a great pair of sneakers. Reef just launched the Reef Rover Slip-Ons, making the trek to through airport security to long days at the festival grounds a complete breeze. What’s coming up this weekend? Outside Lands in San Francisco. This music festival is definitely on my bucket list for next year. Man, I really do miss my West Coast family, but my Reef babes have me covered and I’ll be following along from home in NYC. You know I’m such a Rover girl. They’re like walking on a foamy cloud. That may be the best way to describe them. They call it Swellular Technology. Something that truly allows you to slip even wet feet after a day at the beach, to dancing at the bar at night. I like these best with bare legs, an indigo tie-dye romper, and a good hat to shade me from the sun. San Francisco is calling my name.

Style

When I think of Independence Day, I don’t just think of barbecues and fireworks and the Hamptons. It’s really about sitting back and thinking how absolutely amazing the good ol’ USA really is. Appreciating our mountains, our oceans, our cultures, our food. I’m traveling all of the time, and nothing feels better than home. Though I will be traveling in Italy today, I still have the smell of smoke from the bbq’s back home in LA and sounds of champagne bottles popping on my NYC rooftop replaying in my mind. Every year I wear denim. My red, white, and blue. That star spangled banner ringing in my ears. And the best pair of Reef sandals made for being on the beach, at the park, or like this year: somewhere off the map. The REEF ROVER HI SANDALS go with everything I own.

I have survived yet another FESTIVAL, and this year, Reef and I have been going festival CRAZY. From Coachella and now Governor’s Ball, we have had no problem getting our Rovers down and dirty in the muddy fields. It’s funny how quickly these sneakers have taken over my life. I live for comfort. They’re made for dancing and traveling. We have been #justpassingthrough the East Coast a lot lately. Taking them to the beautiful beaches of Montauk, to the graffiti clad streets of Williamsburg. At Governor’s Ball, we danced to Little Dragon, Florence & the Machine, Tame Impala…and you can’t forget those 90’s classics from Weird Al. Constantly bringing a smile to my face. Between tequila runs at the “Freeloaders Lounge” and checking out the insane amount of food, we found ourselves plopped in the middle of the grass. Blankets, beers, and many festival babes just soaking in that NYC sun. It feels good to have the party be at home. Late nights dancing under the stars before that sleepy subway ride home.
