FLORENCE, ITALY | ON DIGITAL #Firenze4Ever

Oh, Florence! How magical and beautiful you are! Dylana and I were in Italy for Luisaviaroma‘s bi-annual #Firenze4Ever weekend, and we couldn’t have asked for better hosts! With dinners at the gorgeous Palazzo Gondi, cocktails at Ex Manifattura Tabacchi, and a beyond pleasant stay at the grand, Villa Cora Hotel, every moment felt picture perfect. I was indeed living in a colorful and quirky Wes Anderson film. The pinks, the yellows, the blues, the golds. I couldn’t put down my camera. Villa Cora felt very much like it was out of a fairytale. So unreal. So grand. Every night was one to open your closet, and figure out, “Hmm, which party dress shall I throw on tonight?” Which heels will still allow me to dance till 2 in the morning? This little Marc Jacobs number was definitely a show-stealer, but wait until you see what we wore for our Luisaviaroma #SuarezSisters photoshoot shot in a gorgeous artist’s loft. We’re talking Alexander Mcqueen, Philosphy, Masion Valentino, Missoni, and Marni. All of my favorites. We were definitely dressed to the nines, and what better place than in the glamorous Italia?! In between interview sessions with editors who flew in from all over the world, you could find us in the sauna…or if you heard Justin Bieber blasting from one of the hotel rooms, it was probably us.

Stay tuned for more.

ON THE AMALFI COAST

unnamed-25

Amalfi is indeed one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. The pastel, sunsoaked walls of the beautiful homes just perched so perfectly on the side of the cliffs. Baby pinks, peeling whites, faded orange, and lemon yellows. The way the plants, fruits, and vegetables grow is just amazing. So lush. So vibrant. Amalfi is so full of life. Just like the rows and rows of candy-colored beach umbrellas lining the beach. We swerved in our Fiat 500 this way and that, through the tiny roads on the cliff overlooking the blue-green waters down below. Our speakers blasting. My map in hand. I felt like I was in an old romance novel. Only the sounds of splashing water, motorcycles zooming by, and wine glasses clinking. Nothing felt real. I just wanted to pinch myself as I let my hair fly with my head out the car window. I could have spent forever floating in those crystal clear waters. Laying back and looking up into the clear blue sky. Squinting at the houses perched high up in Rada. Days were spent at the beach in a tiny red and white striped bikini. Nights in my spaghetti strapped dress, sipping bellinis in Positano, the neighboring town that just screams old school ritz. All in all, Amalfi has that charm and gorgeousness that is not at all intimidating, but rather welcoming. I can’t wait to return to this magical place that glitters everywhere you look.

Where to next?! ROMA.

1 NIGHT IN NAPOLI

naples-natalie-suarez-9

I knew the moment we pulled into Naples, just after leaving Porto Santo Stefano, that I was going to just LOVE this city. It is gritty. There’s a bit of madness, and it’s just pure chaotic. Three things I crave when I’m traveling. The excitement and unexpectedness that comes with some wild adventures. That ounce of danger. But again, we only had thoughts on food. We had just one night to find the perfect pizza in Naples, and we were on a mission. We grabbed two giant pies of margherita pizza off the streets of the bazaar. One for me. One for him of course. Almost anywhere you can find a good slice. Only complete with a ton of hot chili of course. I honestly could not get over the food in Italy. I wanted pizza every single day for lunch. It was that addicting. Not at all thinking of the elliptical in my gym. Traveling, the way we do it, is an exercise within itself. Walking, swimming, hiking. You can eat anything you want and get away with it. Same with my wardrobe. It was so hot I only stuck with denim, and loads of it. A tiny shift dress, and the red bandana that has accompanied me all over the world…with still more places to discover.

GIGLIO ISLAND

porto-santo-stefano-boat

I went behind the wheel of our tiny motor boat at Isola Giglio, a beautiful little island off the coast of Tuscany, Italy. We had nothing but the open sea and a soaked, torn map. As we sped past giant rocks surrounded the main land, we found peaceful little beaches on the coast to anchor down, and do some swimming. I went with just a classic black bikini, a cotton dress, and tons of sunscreen. As we started speeding, my hat flew straight into the ocean! Luckily, the sea was calm and I reached in a grabbed it before it completely disappeared. You can’t separate a girl and her hat. We were sun drunk and I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy. I couldn’t wait for a long nap on the way home. Our hotel deck was the perfect relaxtion spot for our last day in the dreamy Porto Santo Stefano. I did nothing but finish my book and practice flips with the boys. But we were craving pizza. And we wanted the best. So where to next?! NAPLES.
