Okay, so these photos were taken on one of THE HOTTEST days in New York. It was hitting 100 degree and I was sweating bullets! It’s hard to get dressed, let alone take photos, when the weather is super icky! But this day, I honestly had no idea how bad the weather would be and so I went out with jeans. Not the brightest idea, but I’m such a sucker for these rust colored pants! I think Taisa and I still looked pretty good though despite the bipolar nyc weather! I threw this little Juicy Couture scarf over my shoulders to spruce up my simple tank. It also looked super pretty just flowing in the not so breezy air that day hehe. But want to know what I live in here in New York? My new kicks! They are brand spankin new Rachel Roy slip on’s and I’m obsessed. I’ve been wearing them nonstop. My feet have been so beat up from walking and taking the subway and so whenever I don’t have to wear heels, I slip into these babies. The print and oooh so comfy cushion sole are pure perfection!

These photos were shot in the heart of Soho, amongst the gorgeous cobblestone streets. I decided to spend the afternoon shopping, but had a bit of a tough time due to the heavy crowds that day! We did so much walking and even hit up stores in Time Square as well as on 5th avenue. We were pretty much all over the place! It’s easy though in nyc… you can cover so much ground in one day thanks to the lovely mta hehe! What was more crazy was receiving tweets that day from readers who happened to bump into me that day shopping. So unreal… to be spotted in such a big city! Thanks guys, but next time please come up and introduce yourself! 🙂

Another look that works well into spring is a great pair of faux leather high waisted shorts with a short crop tee. These photos were shot back at home in LA, but I already plan on sporting this here in NYC. Dylana just left these shorts for me in my bedroom and I can’t stop wearing them! This Volcom sweater, fresh out of the Fall ’11 catalog, is also one of my favorite pieces right now. I happen to throw it on over everything on chilly nights out. I got a sneak peek into all the Fall pieces during my shoot for the web video series, launching on Volcomunity.com, and let me say, I found some really really cute things that I couldn’t help but keep for myself! The jewels featured here were shipped straight from Italy, from Milor Jewels! I love the black and purple stones. So there you have it, my new must-have outfit.
