Knocksteady TV Video Interview

I recently did a video interview for Knocksteady TV, hosted by the adorable Angela of the fashion site, Benches and Chandeliers. I felt very comfortable having her interview me in my home! The whole Knocksteady.com crew was so sweet! They followed me around these past few months, documenting a bit of my journey as a model and a blogger. It is a little sneak peek into my life, covering details to the current and future projects I am working on! Enjoy!

(a mix of photos by me and Kim)

Our new Philadelphia friend, the adorable and oh so stylish Kim, took Dylana and I took us down to the south of Philly for a visit to the Italian Festival which happens only once a year. I’m so happy that it happened to be occurring the weekend I was there. It was like a massive street party. There were people EVERYWHERE and the DJ was playing really awesome loud music. I just wanted to get up and dance! There were numerous street vendors selling fresh fruit, any poultry you want (did i tell you about kangaroo?!), and booze (lots of booze). I fell in love with the little mom n pop shops. During our walk there, we even stumbled upon a cute vintage garage sale. Dylana picked up that amazing leopard coat. As for the weather, the sun was out for the first time that weekend and it was humid. It left us craving iced tea and large slices of pizza! Ended our evening thrift shopping in the charming Old City before heading back to Kim’s for a night of burgers, beers, and lots of laughter. There really couldn’t have been a better way to spend a Sunday in Philadelphia!

Smart Dressing: Red on Red

(Vintage blazer, White + Warren blouse, By Corpus shorts, Chanel bag, Bronx shoes, Vintage Rayban sunglasses)

Right now I am very into the masculine, tailored look for spring. This is my definition of smart dressing. This day I went with red on red, one of my favorite combinations. It is very classic and put-together. Here I am back home in LA, but I see myself wearing this on the streets of NYC as well. I feel a wool blazer and silk button up is such perfect street style for any city. I love how the scarlet red hue just pops! I also went with my favorite Chanel bag. I love the supple quilted leather and large silver chains. It screams heavy duty yet I try to wear this bag only on special occasions. I’d hate to destroy this baby by wearing it too much!

Floral in Philadelphia

(Urban Outfitters scarf, Mango leather jacket, White + Warren blouse, Jil Sander trousers, Mango bag, Ferragamo flats)

Out for ice cream with my sister Dylana and new friend/fellow blogger, Kim of Eat Sleep Wear!

CHI CHI TOWN! Yeah!

Getting major air in Old Town!

I spent this past weekend in Philadelphia, visiting my lovely sister, Dylana, who just moved there for her job at Free People! I’m so happy I got to visit after my time in New York. The weather was a bit gloomy during my stay, but it in no way stopped us from having a great time. Through Dylana, I met another adorable blogger, Kim of Eat Sleep Wear, and we all became such great friends! This gorgeous girl is super sweet and invited us over for drinks and a delicious pasta dinner! For the day out on my feet, helping Dylana apartment hunt, I made sure to wear a few layers to stay comfortable. I paired a great pair of trousers with a button up, a leather jacket, a floral scarf, and my Ferragamo flats (which happen to always travel in my suitcase with me). Very classic and great for a day out on the town! That night, we went out for ice cream at this super adorable little parlor in Old City. From there, we snapped a few night shots on the gorgeous cobblestone streets before the rain poured down so hard on us that we had to stop and wait it out by a store window. A complete stranger even walked by and handed us 2 umbrellas. Ohh, Philadelphians get me everytime haha! The city is super quaint and beautiful. Many more photos from my stay to come!
