Another look that works well into spring is a great pair of faux leather high waisted shorts with a short crop tee. These photos were shot back at home in LA, but I already plan on sporting this here in NYC. Dylana just left these shorts for me in my bedroom and I can’t stop wearing them! This Volcom sweater, fresh out of the Fall ’11 catalog, is also one of my favorite pieces right now. I happen to throw it on over everything on chilly nights out. I got a sneak peek into all the Fall pieces during my shoot for the web video series, launching on Volcomunity.com, and let me say, I found some really really cute things that I couldn’t help but keep for myself! The jewels featured here were shipped straight from Italy, from Milor Jewels! I love the black and purple stones. So there you have it, my new must-have outfit. I played around with the dark colors of my wardrobe for our evening out with friends in Rittenhouse, Philadelphia! Thankfully I brought a leather jacket and scarf for the short trip to keep myself bundled against the strong winds that night. Dylana showed me around the neighborhood and we ended up at the cutest little street ever! With the trees perfectly aligned and lit up, it was magical. I’m obsessed with the location she lives in. Now that I am in NYC, I plan on taking more weekend trips to Philly. It’s a lot calmer there, but just as fun. It is the perfect little getaway from all the crazy hustle and bustle over here! Btw, I am super sad to say that I wore these Ferragamo flats sooooooo much that the sole fell off! GAH, they were amazetotheballs and I don’t know what to do without them! On my wishlist here in New York: new ballet flats!

Wherever I go, this washed green cargo jacket by Volcom is always with me. I love how I can pretty much throw it on over anything and it instantly adds a laid back vibe to any look. It’s my go-to piece for the weekends! I wore this out during a day out with my family around Central Park. My sister is visiting from Philadelphia and my parents flew in from LA for a short trip. It was so nice getting to all be together again. We are super close so it’s great to be able to share a gorgeous day in the city with them. They came at a perfect time too, the weather has been amazing. Sunny with a cool breeze. I find myself being out and about all the time in nyc, getting everywhere on foot. No need for me to workout now, I think I’ve been getting more than enough exercise. Been really enjoying the weekends here, but I am beyond excited that it is Monday! 🙂
