BRITISH WIT // LFW

London is my TOP, TOP place to visit. I don’t know why, but I’ve been madly in love with England before I’ve even been there years back. Maybe it’s the accents? Maybe it’s the gloom? Maybe it’s the rock n’ roll? But honestly, I love everything London brings. I try hardest to go during fashion week each season. Luckily, I had a shoot there right smack dab in the middle of fashion week. Couldn’t be a better excuse to see friends and catch some shows! So knowing I’d be in London for literally only 2 nights, I packed about 4 items. This blouse, a skirt, another shirt, and a pair of jeans. After all the years of overweight baggage fees, I’ve opted to go for a carry-on and nothing else. Packing toooo light is now my problem, but I basically just mixed and matched everything I had. Going for this ruched camo bomber jacket (it’s insane!) with some florals, and some leather. VIOLA. That’s me at Somerset House. Snapped by my favorite Brit/Scottish girl EVER: Jennifer of StyleEast! (See her image below walkin in some vintage trousers and trainers) I became friends with this babe years ago in NYC. Now, I never make a London visit without WhatsApping the heck out of her and all our friends.

Another amazing thing at Somerset House? The streetstyle. So. Many. Hot. People. Londoners have this easy way of dressing. Thrown together and cool. So of course I snapped away. I used most for my WhoWhatWear Instagram takeover (thanks for everyone who followed along!) Here’s more snapshots to add to the bunch!

SUAREZ SISTERS BERLIN // F21

These last two months for me have been filled with traveling! After Stockholm Fashion Week, Dylana and I hopped on a quick flight to BERLIN, Germany and we quickly fell in love with this incredible, vibrant city. I’ve never seen so much artwork and graffiti splashed on the city’s grey walls. Little messages from the city’s people always here and there wherever you go. I like to say Berlin is like Williamsburg on crack. There’s more food and beer drinking than anywhere else I’ve ever been. Yes, you can double fist and walk down the street without anyone giving you a second glance. Cheers! Who said you can’t have beer with your morning egg and bagel?! Morning and night, Dylana and I mapped our days. We have an incredible CITY GUIDE with Forever 21 coming your way super soon. So you too, can explore this crazy city, and drink unlimited glasses of wine (for 2 euros…I’ll tell you where soon enough!)  My suitcase surprisingly underweight by about 4 pounds, and I managed to have enough looks for our 10 day European extravaganza. I went with endless layers, and of course many LEATHER JACKETS. Rock tees, crochet vests, and killer cardigans. We topped it up with destroyed denim jeans, and perfect black boots. This city really doesn’t sleep, and that’s what I love most. The city has beauty, and it has grit. That’s what adds to it’s charm. We went into hidden techno bars that honestly didn’t start until 3am…where you could party and read a book in the library, or sit in a bed in a nearby room. Berlin is about enjoying life to the max, one cup of coffee at a time.  And if you’re up for those 24 hour sleepless days, go to Berlin.

HELLO THERE SWEDEN // Stockholm Fashion Week

Why hello there SWEDEN! I am BEYOND excited to be here in Stockholm for the very first time, covering all the shows for Stockholm Fashion Week. There’s something I just love about the air here in Scandinvia. The air so crisp, even better on a rainy day! It really already feels like fall here, and so I’m already living in a coat and boots. I’ll be covering all the shows with my sister Dylana and VIDEOFYME, an video app here in Sweden that I’ve used for years. They have brilliant filters to make short films, and it’s so easy to cut and paste. I’m a die-hard fan. I’m so excited to re-unite with the team, SWEDISH STYLE.
Speaking of which, I’ve always adored the fashion here in Stockholm. The focus on clean lines, and structured and beautiful quality pieces. They are masters of MINIMALISM. I love how they can make a total statement without the use of prints, but with textures, neutrals, and shapes. My style is absolutely eclectic and I love my wacky prints and bohemian layers, but those simplistic necessities are definitely in my closet. Did I say VEDA?! I packed a ton this time… like this plaid structured coat, and leather pale pink tank. Divine.

Make sure to follow all of my VIDEOFYME videos, and of course, create an account and get started babes. You’ll be hooked.
Now take a peek at yesterday’s show, FILIPPA K. I love discovering these prominent Swedish labels. I was taken to heaven during this presentation. The water fountain, the model’s glows, and knits to wear for a lifetime.
