THE CORSET DRESS | LONDON

The shape of this Ellery dress is like a work of art. An exaggerated waistline, beautiful puffy sleeve, and flouncy skirt. I’m in love with this feminine, corset-like cut. It creates a delicate, beautiful shape of the female body, just seeing it hanging on a hanger. I’ve never seen anything like it! Here I am taking it for a walk in Notting Hill, London. The only way to survive the breezy London air, is to always pair your dress over a pair of trousers. Key to traveling abroad come December? Layer, layer, layer and experiment. Voila. Another epic work week in London accomplished, with a whole lot of killer looks to go with it. You may be wondering where in the world I am now, but I’m completely de-layered for a month back home in sunny Los Angeles. I’ve been in town for a new campaign, and of course shooting and editing loads that will go live before the New Year. Team Suarez has either been stuck in the studio or tied up in Lightroom wrapping up some last-minute holiday projects. It’s almost, ALMOST time for me to unplug for one summer-y Christmas in LA. Until then, this girl is in the zone.

PINK VELVET ON THE STREETS OF LONDON

I have a new designer to love: Rejina Pyo. I discovered this amazing designer label on NET-A-PORTER when I spotted this crushed velvet David Bowie-esque pantsuit splashed against the homepage. I knew it had to be mine. I love the thick waist belt complete with an extra wide-leg pant. A pantsuit is essential for me when I travel. I have them in just about every color, and they’re fantastic to travel in…worn together or as separates. They make packing a total breeze. This one is a showstopper. I was just in London with Veuve Clicquot for their special Widow Series art exhibit with Carine Roitlfeld and decided to extend my stay at the Nobu Shoreditch so that I could soak in all that East London had to offer.  Traveling with Veuve Clicquot is always such a dream. They throw the most incredible events, that always leave me inspired. More on that in another post! But here, I hit up just about every single store off Redchurch Street as I constantly searched for the nearest Indian restaurant. Can you say Dishoom?! I crave their curry the moment I get off the plane. London is a such a special city. Their love for art and fashion is unlike anywhere else. It’s the most amazing place to be inspired in both design and decor. I finally had a day off so I grabbed a cup of coffee and hit the city by foot in Rejina Pyo pink.

OUR COTTAGE IN THE ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE | M MISSONI

Isn’t this the most beautiful English cottage? I have so, so much to be thankful for this year. I’m so thankful for being able to travel the world, to constantly create and imagine, to meet amazing people, and be able to bring my family and friends along with me on this wonderful journey, every single day. The M Missoni stories I shot in England with Dylana are ones to be framed and remembered. I get a tingling feeling just looking back at them. It has always been a dream of mine to shoot in the foggy English countryside. For years, I have admired the grey skies, fair isle sweaters, and chicken coups that graced the glossy pages of British Vogue. That feeling of being far away, in the middle of nowhere, wrapped in wool is mesmerizing and intriguing. It’s a photographer’s dream. M Missoni made that dream of mine a reality during our Winter ’17 shoot at Soho Farm House in Oxfordshire, England. This is just a sneak peek into our shoot. I’ll rolling around in our grassy front yard for now.

THE SANDALS YOU NEED FOR YOUR NEXT GETAWAY

My next hot, hot destination is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in late January. The heat in Kuala Lumpur is 24/27. You can’t go anywhere without a perfect sandal. Bikinis, cotton slip dresses, and flip-flops become my wardrobe. When I’m there, I like to keep things super light, including my suitcase. My new resort sandals are by Sangria Sandals. All made from luxurious leathers in gorgeous poppy colors. Here, I’m sporting their lovely Precious Metals collection, an array of silver, gold, copper, charcoal, and cognac. Even in NYC, whenever I’m running out the door, these remain by my front door. Slip on and go…and they always look chic and go with just about everything. Finding a sandal that’s classic and well-made was on my pre-holiday shopping list. The more and more I travel, especially to tropical places, the more I have begun to simplify my wardrobe. Staying on the beach all day? Sangria. Exploring a new city in the heat? Sangria. Running to the deli, even in the middle of winter? Sangria. I’m a loyal fan.
