LEICA CAMERA Q2 X AETHER APPAREL PHOTO PROJECT IN ASPEN

// Aether Apparel bib pants + ski outerwear //

I am now a proud owner of the new Leica Q2 camera. I have worked with Leica for a few years now! From starring in the Leica Sofort campaign with Dylana, to being the very first to test new product for our projects! It’s been a very exciting and creative adventure that makes professional photography a journey I have fallen in love with. I own a few Leica cameras, but there really is something special about the Leica Q2. It’s an elegant piece that embodies everything that I love about photography mixed with travel, fashion, and adventure. It’s a full-frame compact camera (it’s excellent for throwing over my shoulder for an entire day, or have inside my bag), has brilliant photo quality, and super high speed performance. It makes shooting high-end editorial images a breeze. I like to say it shoots like butter. Smooth to perfection! I took my new Leica Q2 out to Aspen, Colorado with both the Leica and Aether Apparel teams. There could be on better collaboration between two brands. We took Aether’s super chic new skiwear on the slopes while really getting to dive into the world of the Leica Q2, which by the way, is totally weather proof. I didn’t have to worry about a little dust, water, and snow getting in the way while capturing the perfect shot.

This trip to Aspen was a special one. Many of the images of me were shot by Dylana. Aspen’s classic retro ski style is something I’ve always loved. We styled the Aether snow bib pants with nubby knit sweaters and Aether’s extra bold colored down jackets. I love these contrasted against the bright blue skies, and speckled with sun through the trees. Though I’ve been to these mountains many times, we embarked on an adventure that took me to places I’ve never seen before like out to the backcountry of Snowmass for dog sledding followed by wine at the beautiful Krabloonik Restaurant, to cross-country skiing all the way out to the luxurious Pine Creek Cookhouse. This photo project has been exhilarating and inspiring. To many more trips like this one.

H&M STUDIO SS20 COLLECTION CAMPAIGN LAUNCH IN MALIBU

// H&M Studio SS20 collection //

Dylana and I flew straight to Los Angeles after our whirlwind fashion week for something super exciting: shooting the new H&M Studio SS20 collection right here in Malibu! We immediately checked into the gorgeous Santa Monica Proper Hotel and went straight into 2 days of shooting. The California sunshine and bright, bold abstract colors found in this collection is like a breath of fresh air. It represents freedom. That rush you get the moment your bare feet hits the warm sand. What I love most about this stunning collection of tailored wide-leg pants, cropped blazers, and bright beachside bikinis and scarves is that it can easily be mixed and matched. Throw the entire line into your suitcase for a summer getaway and you’re set. Wrap the scarves around your hair or around your neck. Wear the bikini alone in the water, or straight to dinner with a good pant. Ribbed tops that can be layered with a crochet vest, or simply worn alone. I am so excited for more and more color in my life come spring and summer.

H&M Studio always pushes the boundaries when it comes to clothing that immediately makes you wander and mentally drift to a completely new place. It’s been a dream shooting for H&M! We hope you love this campaign as much as we do! We celebrated with the team in Beverly Hills, overlooking the Los Angeles sunset with an amazing acoustic performance by a personal favorite, Lykee Li. This collection really has reconnected me to my California roots, appreciating all that my hometown has to offer.

THE BOLD BLUE EYE – MARC JACOBS BEAUTY HIGHLINER

// Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Crayon, The Significant Other dress //

I am hopping into spring with some electric makeup looks. I instantly gravitated towards the Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Crayon in “Out of the Blue.” It’s matte, intense color that lasts 12 hours. It’s basically a gel pot eyeliner with the ease of a crayon. I fell in love with it so much that I have stocked up on them in just about every single color. It now takes 1 minute to create a bold, winged cat eye. This is a beauty product that remains in my bag at all times. After a totally wild fashion week back in NYC, you’ll find that I’m now in Los Angeles for work. I have a few more shoots lined up out here and I’m really just soaking in all the sun and enjoying family time during my limited time off! Also, this sunny weather brings out the fun, colorful side to my style. Here is to a spring season with more bold beauty experimentation.

HEADING TO THE LONGCHAMP PARIS SHOW AT NYFW

// Longchamp jacket and handbag Dear Frances boots, NYLORA biker shorts //

I took a very sporty look to the Longchamp Paris show here at NYFW. A statement Longchamp suede jacket straight off the SS20 runway cinched at the waist with a biker short and cream boot. Something that really works on the basket courts or on in the front row. Every season, Longchamp as become my most coveted show. Each season the Paris teams comes to NYC, bringing a star-studded event, stunning Manhattan views, and forever flowing champagne. You can’t help but stare at the front row just as much as the gorgeous looks walking down the runway. For Fall/Winter 2020 you’ll find unexpected and beautiful ways of using leather, shearling and luxurious nubby wool textures, something Longchamp has become a master at. I seem to always find their statement handbags to also be something that steals the show, completing just about every look. Meet the Longchamp mini Roseau bag. It may be mini, but it sure is powerful. It fits all the necessities: my phone, lipstick, and keys. I feel like going minimal all fashion month. The less I have on my hands, the better. And black patent really goes with just about every color palette come spring. So tell me, how are you surviving fashion month?
