HOW I AM TAKING CARE OF MY LIPS

bite-beauty-2

Lately, I’ve decided it’s about time I start really taking care of my lips. Having supple, luscious lips is the key to any amazing makeup look. Always start with taking care and protecting your skin before applying more makeup. My #1 rule to get rid of dry, chapped lips? Exfoliate, protect, and hydrate. Hydrating meaning always have a moisturizing base before you put on any lipstick. That’s always the hardest when you’re trying to master a really matte lip, my favorite type of look. Bite Beauty released the new Everyday Agave collection. It’s 3 amazing products that now, more than ever, I am using…especially on the airplane. Here are the 3 steps: – Apply the Agave Sugar Lip Scrub: use this daily and right before bed, and you’re lips will be extra soft and smooth. -Leave on the Agave Lip Mask: Leave this on overnight and it helps protect your lips from getting any further damage. -Reapply the Agave Lip Balm: This balm is super rich. I use it so many times a day. It doesn’t give off a crazy shine or greasy residue which makes it perfect under lipsticks.

MAN UP THE PRETTY DRESS

natalie-lim-suarez-street-style-11

Give me a perfectly pretty dress and I immediately want to pair it with a rugged pair of Docs and fish net tights. I say man-up when it comes to what you pair with something super feminine. It could be boots and a floral frilled dress. Stilettos and an extra wide-leg pant. Always do the opposite when it comes to pairing styles. This was snapped in Chinatown in Los Angeles en route to a fitting. Every single trip I take for work is very in and out. I’m still trying to count how many flights I’ve taken just the beginning of this year! I make sure to always stay an extra night wherever I travel to really enjoy myself. Especially now, during Chinese New Year. As always, we planned a fun lunch date complete with mouth watering dumplings, fried fish, and stir fried noodles. I wish you all a prosperous and inspiring new year! It’s that time of year for us to indulge and set goals for what’s to  come. This weekend at NYFW, catch me backstage at some of the best shows (can you say ALEXANDER WANG?) I’ll be covering the shows with one of my favorite beauty labels and I can’t wait to reveal who it is.

Stay tuned.

SHOT FOR THE GENTLE FAWN S/S ’17 CAMPAIGN

Something about breakfast in a tiny old diner on a rainy day is so comforting. We did just that on set in Vancouver for the Gentle Fawn S/S  ’17 campaign. I am beyond excited to be your MUSE this season! Gentle Fawn resonates so well with my style because it’s all about the way the clothes feel combined with a soft beautiful color palette. Everything in this new collection is made for layering. Everything feels lightweight. But in all of it’s beautiful simplicity, every piece has something unique about it. Maybe it be the flowing sleeves of my kimono, the cut out down the back of my tank, or the ruffled hem of my dress. They use cottons and subtle prints so well, and now have added incredible intimates to their new line. I like beautiful pieces without all the fuss. Vancouver, you’re beautiful even on a grey day, and even better with a plat of sunny-side up eggs, toast, and the best milkshake I’ve had in a long time.

For now, shop the brand new Gentle Fawn S/S ’17 collection!

VIDEO: WALKING THE REBECCA MINKOFF S/S ’17 RUNWAY

rebecca-minkoff-natalie-lim-suarez-runway-16

It was such a dream come true getting to walk the runway for the Rebecca Minkoff S/S ’17 show this past weekend alongside so many beautiful, inspiring women! I did a lot of runway at the beginning of my career, so it felt amazing to walk again now, purely as myself. The show was at The Grove in Los Angeles, my hometown, and it may have been the longest runway I’ve ever walked. The crowds were insane and the energy was amazing. Let’s just say there was a lot of smiles strutting down the catwalk. The collection was super romantic, with a downtown NYC edge. I love a mix of floral frills and edgy suede shorts and studded skirts. Perfect. Plus, you can shop the collection from the runway right now below. The hair was big, wild, and luscious. The makeup super fresh, with faux freckles and a beautiful smoky eye. It’s a complete mix of California and NYC cool. You get the best of both coasts.
