PALM SPRINGS: The Threadsence House

(Posso x Volcom bikini, Forever 21 shorts, Free People REVOLVE kimono, Frye “Carson Lace-Up” boots, Thread & Stone necklace/ring bracelet, Penny Royal Studio anchor cuff, Wanderlust + Co skull bracelet)

Spending my time in Palm Springs at the Threadsence house was just pure insanity…and PURE BLISS. The house was killer. Perched high up on a mountain, overlooking all of Palm Springs, it was our little mystical desert retreat. And oh yeah, we had about 12 people staying with us. Talk about a party! Once the hot sun woke me up, I was first in the kitchen, fetching us all some coffee (so much needed to get us through the long Coachella afternoons) and of course, kicked on the stove top for some all American breakfast. I swear we had every single delicious (cough, cough processed) piece of food from Costco in the fridge. It’s the only way to go during a roadtrip, agreed?

Us girls always found ourselves by the pool, wearing probably some of the craziest outfits known to man. The dudes, on the other hand, thought jumping from the roof into the pool was more fun. Our rooms were covered with clothes. Clearly, we all overpacked. Floral shorts here, bikini tops there. The place was a mess! Together, situated by the pool, overlooking the mountains, I got a very Valley of the Dolls vibe. Retro, vintage, and oh so…California. Threadsence, you do us well 🙂

Be sure to visit the Threadsence blog to watch our house videos, shop, and see all the updates on COACHELLA, my absolute favorite music festival! My friends at Threadsence nail it every time.

I cannot even begin to describe Coachella! I had the most amazing, unforgettable time. It was one big CALIFORNIA DREAM. Surrounded by all of my favorite people in one place, soaking in the hot sun, and dancing along to all my favorite bands took up my entire weekend. Very little sleep was also on the agenda as I was always the first one up in the house, ready to go, go, go. When there’s music involved, I’m always a little crazy!! I have so so many stories to tell you! There’s just something about the desert that I love. The open, calm roads and endless rows of palm trees. California warms my heart. Plus, what I love about Coachella is getting to wear all of my favorite hippie separates. This one day I went with high waisted mint green pants, a rock n’ roll tee, and floral kimono. All I’m missing is some flowers in my hair.

I want to tell you so much more, but I’ve got to literally leave on the first flight back to NYC in a few minutes!! For now, I want to share with you just a bit of California love. I listen to this whenever I head back home…

Many more photos to come! There’s a lot hat came with this weekend!

Spring Awakening

I am currently in Palm Springs, wide awake in my room at 8:00, after a super amazing day at Coachella! The desert sun is literally lighting up the entire house, making it hard for me, still on NY time, to go back to sleep. But I’m okay with that! I’ve got coffee brewing and a sick view of endless rows of palm trees. I love it here! You may have noticed, but I’ve been sporting all of my music festivals favorites all month, leading up to now heheh! Let’s just say I’m in total Coachella “i’m going to throw on anything and go” sort of mood. Here I was snapped back in at my sister’s place in Philadelphia in one of my favorite REVOLVE clothing music festival picks: the lady bug dotted “Something Else” pants. The high waist is super retro and the adorable print makes me swoon. With some platform sandals which make me feel like the Spice Girl (i’ve always secretly wanted to be), I hit the warm city streets! It’s Spring…and I’m getting funnnkyyy. Palm Springs hasn’t been so happy in the weather department, but looks like things are changing today! I think we all deserve a bit of heat after tolerating the massive amounts of wind last night!

Play it Louder

(Very.com “Love Label” leopard jeans, Rugy by Ralph Lauren trench, H&M tee, Minimarket from Dear Fieldbinder boots)

And I’m off!! I’m flying out to California for COACHELLA and I’m beyond excited. All of my favorite bands are going to be out there and I just know this weekend is going to be insane. Above are just a few of my favorite songs that I’m stoked to hear live. As for what I’ll be wearing, let’s just say I went a bit crazy rolling out the distressed band tees, the floral mini-dresses, sunhats, and beat up boots. Plus, I’m whipping out all my killer jewelry. Wrists full of bracelets along with floral headbands are kind of a must when it comes to free spirited dressing. This desert festival won’t disappoint. I’m totally overpacked, as usual, but only because I’m a mix and match master. I like it all at hand haha. Just a rock tee and some leopard skinnies are really all I’ve been living in these day as I’ve been crazy busy preparing for my departure. I’m ready to rock.

Bye bye NYC, but I’ll see you soon! Let’s see if I can survive this weekend first.
