FRENCH/DUTCH | ST MAARTEN

I am excited to take you down St. Maarten memory lane. It was such an incredible getaway. Just my boyfriend, a 35mm lens, a car, and a whole island to explore in one week. We stayed along Cupecoy Beach…and I rank it by far the best beach on the island. Imagine crystal clear, calm and steady, turquoise water. Gorgeous white butterflies, fluttering their wings everywhere you turn. St. Maarten is part French and part Dutch. We stayed on the beaches of the Dutch side, where we indulged in fresh seafood and hours of swimming under the hot Caribbean sun. I tried snails for the first time..and liked it. Can you believe it? There’s an elegance to the island which I really love. The beaches. The hotels. The restaurants. I can’t wait to show you more. You get a real European summer feel with just a 3.5 hour flight away from NYC.

A TRUE AMERICAN HOLIDAY | MAUI

By now, you have probably noticed my travel go-to look is a messy low bun, wide leg pants, and bold earrings. It’s always elegant, and it just works perfectly in this balmy weather. This summer was jam packed with trips to extraordinarily beautiful places, but Maui certainly stood out to me. Maybe it was because Mom and Dad got to join us on the island after our work trip. Dylana and I can barely remember a past family vacation. When you travel as much as we do, our normal vacation consists of going back to our Los Angeles home for Christmas to avoid the NYC snow. It was as easy as that. Fly to LA, sit on the front porch, and just soak in the winter sun, avoiding East Coast winters at all cost. This family trip was a lot different. It was super exciting to hop on the plane and once again, travel with our parents as adults. They seem a lot more like my best friends than anything else.

WHERE TO STAY IN MAUI: WESTIN NANEA OCEAN VILLAS

I found the most relaxing and beautiful place to stay in Maui: the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas on Ka’anapli Beach. Our 2 bedroom ocean-view villa was gorgeous, contemporary, and was super airy and spacious. It was exactly what Dylana and I wanted for our family holiday after our work press trip on the island. We had a kitchen which was fantastic for barbecuing at sunset, and a gigantic master bathtub to soak in before bedtime. The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas is a resort that you don’t need to leave. Super private and extra luxurious. Check out what was on our very nanea (meaning relaxed) itinerary.

BREEZY IN BLUE

Now isn’t this the most stunning landscape you’ve ever seen? The sky so blue…the ocean behind me. It’s where the birds nest in Maui’s summer and also the pathway to the most beautiful of rocky cliffs. I certainly went off the beaten path a little during my stay, and got blown away in blue.
