SPRING JEAN | 7FAM

7FAM-70S-1RESIZED

The bootcut is coming back full swing thanks to 7 For All Mankind and I’m so excited for a brand new fit: the High Waist Vintage Bootcut. Perfectly sitting high on your waist, with a little bit more flare than the average bootcut. I’m loving everything about this major 70’s comeback. Where blue denim ruled and everything revolved around fun shapes and wild proportions. I’m such a denim girl through and through. Nothing feels more sexy than slipping into your favorite, most flattering pair of jeans. Though my drawers are toppling over with black skinnies, raw hems, and other insane denim…this exaggerated bootcut remains a classic and adds a more sophisticated touch. Spring for me really is all about finding the perfect jean to live in day after day, wash after wash. Something to wear for a walk in the park, to dance in at a gig, and still be able to shimmy into early again the next morning. Experimenting with new and unexpected shapes. Because nothing we do, including what we wear, should be just plain and simple. Take your distressed denim jacket and wear it as your favorite top. Shake it up.

Conde Nast Traveller

It’s rare for me to get a chance to step behind the lens before a show, but thanks to my backstage team at Wella Hair, and covering for Conde Nast Traveller, I had tons of shooting time this season. I’m currently gearing up for Paris Fashion Week, and honestly, my favorite thing to do is people watch. So many beautiful faces. And just as beautiful looks. Fur, oversize coats, killer scarves. And the biggest smiles. Here are some of our favorite streetstyle stars shot by Dylana and I. We were looking to capture those dressed to stand out even in the freezing temperatures—but with effortlessness and nonchalance, of course. These are our favorite snapshots that embody the rushed, “go go go!” nature of NYFW. Paris has to be double the madness. See you soon Le France!

GAP TOOTH

Deart Parents, why why why why why did you make me get braces along with those horrible visits to the dentist when I just could have been a giant gap toothed BABE?! Sigh. Gelareh Mizrahi is bringing it back, with her snakeskin red Lara Stone python bag (part of her “stoned” collection. why I love it even more) Red has been my color lately, and not just because of Valentine’s Day. But because: GONG XI FA CHOY! It’s Chinese New Year…a reason to wear red for good luck, and celebrate with friends over dumplings and jasmine tea. With the new Lunar year, I’ve already saged, cleansed, and feng shui’d everything I could get my hands on. It’s only positive vibes from here on out.

GALAXY

I’ve been using neoprene as my blanket as of late. Us New Yorkers have to experiment once your favorite wool sweater accidentally gets destroyed in the wash. A galaxy printed neoprene flare, and oversize neoprene bomber. Have I gone overboard?! Maybe. Made for a scuba dive or a day out and about during NYFW. Crazy, but it’s just fashion baby.
