Foam Magazine Cover Shoot

Here I am, featured on the cover of the latest issue of Foam magazine (The Blogger Issue)! I have always been a huge fan of Foam and their inspiring photo shoots and articles on all things fashion, music, art, and ocean related. It is pretty much a dream come to true to be the Cover Girl! Also, featured in this issue? Rumi, Jules, Erin + Lauren, and Geri, all of whom are super sweet and each have their own amazing careers going on…changing fashion one blog post at a time hehe! We are all so different, but at the same time, have an insane amount in common. Pretty much, it was so easy to get along with these 5 girls! As for wardrobe, there were racks and racks of unbelievable gorgeous pieces of clothes. I was in blogger heaven. I quickly found these 2 standout pieces amongst the racks and had my look down in about 2 minutes flat. I went a chunky knit sweater and an Elkin lace maxi skirt. Both pieces had a vintage vibe and were so my style. Paired with a cool pair of unexpected light floral stockings and chunky pumps, my look was complete. Gahh, it is totally something I see myself sporting on a cool autumn day here in NYC! I have to thank Foam for the special feature! Go grab one or subscribe to see the rest of this issue and check in with foamamagzine.com all week to see my daily guest posts!! XX

Also, I am running a very SPECIAL STREET STYLE CHALLENGE with Foam. The winner with the best style wins two new Volcom pieces, a limited-edition Gretchen Bleiler Holga camera and pair of Quay sunglasses!! Pretty cool huh? Go ahead and enter now!

Lincoln Center Light

Sosie kimono/ crop top/ necklace, H&M skirt, Bloch ballet flats, Sienna Ray bag, Chan Luu wrap bracelet, Free People sunglasses)

My weekend so far has been so spontaneous and fun. Dylana is in NYC for the weekend and we’ve been running around the city, subwaying up and down Manhattan, always ending up at a destination with amazing food. I am so happy she decided to coach it here from Philly. We haven’t seen each other in weeks! We are so close and talk just about everyday, but nothing is better than getting to meet up in person on the east coast. I don’t know what I’d do without her! Anyways, here I am photographed out by the Lincoln Center, just a short walk from Central Park. The sun was setting and so we got some amazing back light, my favorite type! In New York, I’m all about light layers. Weather was surprisingly good and didn’t feel as humid as it has been, and so I went with a few pieces from my newest sponsor, Sosie! I’m pretty obsessed with throwing this little Sosie floral kimono over just about everything pastel in my wardrobe. Paired with my tiniest lace top and a denim button up skirt that greatly resembles what moms in America work in the early 90s (but 10x cooler), my first day back in New York look is complete.

Surprise Back

(By Corpus top, Vintage trousers, Bloch ballet flats, Vintage bag)

Yep, I’m wearing bright red in the heart of Chinatown…and it’s not even Chinese New Year anymore! I think I could easily join the parade in this getup next year, no? Yet, it’s not just the bold bright hue of the crop top that I love, it’s the surprise back. It shows just the right amount of skin. I always gravitate towards basic pieces that have a little something special about them. With my favorite plum colored trousers and sleek pair of ballet flats, I’m ready for my boba. Best boba in LA? Get it just off Hill Street in this little alley 🙂

A Yummy Independence Day Weekend

Laguna Beach with my gorgeous girl Raych!

PHO RUN w/ my bestie Kelli!

I’m beyond happy that I got to spend my 4th of July weekend here in California. I munched on yummy yummy treats all weekend. Well, I have to start off with introducing you to CAKE POPS. I had never heard of them until my good friend, who is also a model, Emily Blake, began her own business here in LA called Surprise Surprise Bake Shop. She’s so sweet and came by my home to drop off a dozen and OMG they are the best tasting things ever. Super creamy and gaaah, perfect for the 4th of July weekend. Everyone in my house went crazy and grabbed them like hotcakes. On holidays, I totally throw being healthy out the window. Next up on the 4th of July food menu? Tofu mushroom burgers at Taco Loco in Laguna Beach. LA was scorching, with temps in triple digit hell, and so I met up with the beautiful Raych and we took a drive down the coast. It was a perfectly overcast once we hit the beach and there were so many people! It was fun to escape the heat and frolic carelessly in the sand. Lots more pictures from our day in Laguna to come. I think they might be my favorite! Even got to squeeze in an authentic Pho run with my bestie Kelli! Anyways, I’m just so happy I got to spend this past week home with family and friends again. Only because work is beginning to look crazy again and I’m off to NYC again Thursday. For now, I’m enjoying all the west coast fun. and food 🙂
