Our Boots hit San Francisco!

Oh, how I miss you sooo San Francisco! I have a secret love for huddling under umbrellas on your rainy streets and tucking away for soup in your tiny cafes. I still dream of those rows of vintage frocks (heaven) in the Haight. San Fran always reminds me of the 90’s and my childhood. Everything from the little restaurants to the charming little townhomes. My parents always called San Fran such a romantic city. My boyfriend and I were in town just around the holidays for our Modern Vice boots event at Rand + Statler, right on Hayes Street. I already miss the laidback Cali style…the boys, the whiskey, and nubby coats. How adorable is the Rand + Statler store…and with our “Natalie + Dylana Suarez x Modern Vice” JETT collection! The flats are coming soon for Spring/Summer, and of course, our ever expanding boot collection is only looking better and better. I’m so excited working on our Spring shoes…all the colors, and dainty little flats. For now, I’m sitting back and getting nostalgic. I can’t wait to visit the bay again, and stay for even more days, to explore this rock n’roll heaven.
Stay tuned for my Rand + Statler x Modern Vice film photoshoot, shot right at Fisherman’s Wharf, coming soon!

The Boy’s Beanie

(Muubaa leather jacket, Vanessa Mooney necklace/rings/cuff, Vintage Betsey Johnson velvet dress, Ar+O sweater, Topman beanie, Marie Turnor “La Rue” hobo, “Natalie + Dylana Suarez x Modern Vice” JETT JODPHUR boots)
This week is all about moving in our new apartment. I’ve been giving away loads of my old clothes, sending some back home to California, and ohhhh, going through the boyfriend’s clothing. He’s got more hats and beanies than I do! So I followed him to Topman, and scored this bright green beanie. A vampire’s velvet dress, ice-y leather jacket, and our JETT JODPHURS have been my life lately (well, not for long…we have some crazy new boot designs coming out of the factory this week!) I’m just that crazy lady walking down the Bowery in long layers, and a hat. I cannot wait to start fresh in the new apartment, and finally get re-organized. We just need to figure out today what Perisan rug we’re going to get that fits in with our eclectic mix of furniture.

What’s Up Philly

Oh yes, one night in Philly, and it feels like an entire week. Dylana and I always know how to make the most of our weekends together. Whether it be coming up with design ideas or songs, everything’s easier when we’re together. This time, we went all out, along with the whole hippie Free People gang, for a night of Philly bar-hopping and dancing. Always everything seems to revolve around this hat. You won’t believe how many times creepy old dudes had a story about my hat…”you sure aren’t from around here.” uhhh, yeah. I guess my hat does all the talking! Philly will always remain that crazy city that will always keep me curious. The walls are covered in graffiti, and you can go a day without really seeing anyone on the streets…well, in Fishtown anyways.  It’s great anyways when you’re just with good company. Again, I overpacked for my night stay with blouses, and dresses. Oh, and it’s the first time taking our leather Modern Vice JETT MESSENGER for a spin. I grabbed a sample from the showroom for the weekend…this baby’s too good not to take on a roadtrip.

Recording in Session

Yep, I’m in the middle of recording songs for my latest project with DKNY Fragrances as their Core Girl, and this is just one song I threw into the mix. It’s a little bit love, it’s a whole lot of sexy, and for being recorded in one afternoon, I say we did pretty good. Here, I was in Brooklyn jamming with the incredible Scott Seader of The Sinclairs!! He’s so rad! And he can really work that killer electric guitar! I’m devoting this year to more and more music, and I’m taking everything I’ve written in my notebook from the years…all the little things that inspire me, and throwing it out there. Music has always been something so personal and secretive to me. Now I finally have it in me to begin sharing. I hope you love it!

Take a listen to my first ever original track, FACTORY, and follow my Soundcloud for more updates on my music. And you can now download as well!! 🙂
