The Printed Robe

This robe was everything for me over the weekend in Palm Springs. It was what I put on the moment I hopped out of bed, what I used to cover up after a long swim in the sun, and also my warm little blanket during late nights at the festival. This lightweight baby is still tucked away in my giant backpack. It quickly became a souvenier to Dylana and I, in memory of our amazing trip, both of us constantly going about in our matching robes! An perfect with the teeniest of bikinies. I have to say, I brought quite a few swimsuits for the weekend, only because I was finally dying to make some use of them after the long winter. This Lolli Swim two-piece is just one, and it’s a complete gem. With a little floral heart stitched to the back left pocket, I fell in love. How cute?! Anyways, I still miss our incredible retro house in the desert, shaded by palm trees, and green leaves. I took Dy out the side door of the house, and snapped these photos of her jumping like a goof by the garage…turns out to be some of my favorite shots! Just wondering when’s the next time I can borrow her flares.

COACHELLA: Painted Lady

I’ve just arrived in LA after a super duper long and crazy weekend at Coachella, and honestly, all I can now think about is SLEEP! This year has already been full of good music, travels, and insane adventures. Anyways, I couldn’t be happier with this year’s wild and crazy Coachella! Palm Springs, CA, is a beautiful place that’s perfect for doing absolutely nothing and baking in the sun. So much needed after shivering it up NYC style! The moment I got off the plane to jump into our taxi, I could already get the vibe from the peppy festival go-ers on my flight, decked in colorful wristbands and sun hats, that the weekend was going to be incredible. The hot heat subtly turned my skin brown by the pool and made mornings at our house completely relaxing. You have no idea how much this Cali girl missed the vast and open desert! The cactus, the light brown sand, and overly flat homes, row after row after row. It’s the most wonderful escape. Back in NYC, I spent about a half hour throwing together my suitcase before heading to the airport. Tossing out what I couldn’t fit, and keeping what I could. Most of which was an eclectic mix of one piece swimsuits, flowing flares, mini dresses, and of course, lots and lots of DENIM! Working with Hudson Jeans on their #LetYourSelfGo campaign, I brought along this amazing piece, the leopard skinnny. A little mid-waist, a little crop, and a whole lot of comfortable. I’m obsessed with this new printed collection! I jumped out of the pool, dried off, and had my friend go crazy with the body paint. Our house had a bunch of amazing hippie goodies (more on that later) and inspired me to get colorful and creative, doodling on my sister’s arms on the shuttle to the festival. But most importantly, I got to finally take our new design, the Modern Vice SUMMER JETT shoe for a spin! These babies always tend to stop traffic and now, their blue soles are perfectly worn in after long nights of dancing in the desert wind.

I’ve got so much more to show you….from our house, to all my crazy and wild looks! Festival season, I love you.

For now, take a peek at my Hudson Jeans #letyourselfgo campaign!

Team Pink

(Lovers & Friends baseball jacket, Minkpink crop top, Bardot skirt, Urban coat, Jenny Bird netted bucket bag, Raen “Keirnan” sunglasses, “Natalie + Dylana Suarez x Modern Vice” fuschia BENNI)

More like, Team FUSCHIA! It’s about time I whip out our Modern Vice fuschia Benni. The past few days have been all sun and I can already see how everyone’s gone color crazy, and so I thought, why not join in on the fun?! Nothing beats a bright, colorful little bootie! Anyways, on the weekends, I try to always find some downtime at the park…outdoor summer sports are calling my name. I’m dying for late night basketball sessions at Chrystie Street Park, and riding my bike up and down the Lower East Side. By then, I’ll most likely have to trade in my high waisted skirt and crop tops for a pair of Nike trainers hehe. We’ll see… for now, I’m all hippie’d out, currently looking at the small pile of hats and flower crowns that are lying on top of my colorfully filled suitcase to Coachella. Due to work, I’m one who is flying in last minute tomorrow morning, then heading straight to the festival! Looks like there is very, very little sleep in my near future! See you soon California babes!

For those in NYC, meet me tonight at my Joie event at SAKS, from 6-8pm!!

Flowers up and down my Sleeves

(Free People blouse, Cameo overall dress, Vintage Shoe Co. “Covington” boot, Jenny Bird netted bucket bag and snake cuffs, The 2 Bandits “longboard” ring, Vanessa Mooney necklace, Karen London silver ring, Raen “Fairbank” sunglasses)

The sun is out, and the city’s so beautiful…beautiful enough to make that trek up to Central Park, to lie back on the grass, and fall asleep. Almost like everyone that day. In my mind, I was running to the middle of the field, twirling like a child until I feel down, so happy it’s Spring. Who knows, in this dress, anything’s really possible. It was a lazy, sunny day and I finally had one moment to breath. I wanted nothing more than to be in loose, flowing layers. An overall billowy dress, and Free People blouse, with embroidered flowers up and down my sleeves. Speaking of which, Coachella is right around the corner!! With my friends and sister, I’ll be staying at the Free People house…it’s bound to become one big hippie spot…where we’ll do yoga and make things out on the patio, before getting our music fix. I’m beyond excited to bring out my inner hippie, play with flowers, and dance to my favorite tunes. My Coachella adventures are bound to be crazy and wild. I just can’t wait to get dressed in colorful prints, and patterns…and once again, become a desert creature. It’s the homeland for me!
