FOREVER FENDI TIMEPIECES IN ROME, ITALY

Buon giorno! Visiting the Fendi Roma headquarters for the first time is something I will always remember. The moment I hopped out of the car, the view took my breath away. I stared up at gorgeous stone stairs leading up to the front doors. Giant windows at the ground level gave view to blue skies and the city, while Roman statues casted dramatic shadows down the halls. The place is just absolutely gorgeous. Clean, minimal, and totally elegant. So Italian. So grand. It was picture perfect. I was in town for the very exciting launch of Forever Fendi, new watch in their timepieces collection that is launching very soon. Press, media, and celebrities (yep, I saw Nicki Minaj making her way in) attended this very special and exclusive presentation to give you the first look! I am here wearing the sterling silver Forever Fendi piece with a dark watch face. I find it to be the most classic combination. Its delicate band seems to resemble a bracelet, yet it stills feels tough enough to wear on your wrist to an important business meeting. It’s both feminine and masculine and that’s what I love about it. If you look closely you’ll see the signature F’s for Fendi made into the band. The Forever Fendi piece feels like a vintage, but with an updated, luxurious look. It’s my new everyday piece that I can layer with my other favorite jewels.

In the images below, you’ll find me having way too much fun sashaying up and down the Fendi Roma corridors. I couldn’t help but soak it all in. Following the presentation, the team and I did as the Romans do. We visited the romantic Trevi Fountain in the hustle and bustle of the city center, and even made our way up to the private suites above the Fendi storefront. There we looked at sketches from Karl Lagerfeld found through the decades. and even got a private tour of a massive suite, a place to host friends of house, painted in my favorite shade of blue. I think just staring at the architecture and design elements in Rome is the best part. The way the Romans use marble and stone is absolutely breathtaking. Italian design and craftsmanship goes beyond anything I’ve ever seen. There are so many amazing shapes and color palettes and new forms of art to discover. Italy, you continue to bring me back and inspire me time and time again. This trip was special. Not only were we the first to discover Fendi’s newest and latest in timepieces, we got to take a bite out of Fendi history. And that is something I’ll always remember.

ARRIVING IN ROMA

HVRMINN men’s blazer. Karen Walker sunglasses. Fendi bag. Fendi timepiece (my one is launching soon). Mother jeans. AGL boots. Gas Bisoux earrings

I am back from a whirlwind of European travels. My jetlag was so rough over this weekend, but now I am finally 100%. It feels good to back to regular NYC programming with Team Suarez. But the suitcase is there in my house, looking at me, reminding me and calling me to pack because there is somewhere else to be and very soon. There is so much to share with you so I’ll be quick! My first stop happened to be in Rome with the lovely Fendi team for a super exciting and exclusive timepieces launch. You’ll see a little sneak peek here on my wrist. Ooo la, la! But I first want to bask with you in the Roman sunlight this very early morning at the Colosseum. It’s not very often that work brings me to Rome, and it’s a must to visit this absolutely legendary piece of history. It’s grand. It’s iconic. There is nothing like it. You just stop and stare, wondering about all of the stories and secrets this place holds. I got there early, nearly 7am, to see it bare, raw, and on the sunny side of the street. I did as the Italians do and slipped on a decadent, and I do mean a little over the top look for this very early morning. These two pieces are two perfect transition pieces as the weather warms up: a classic thigh high slouchy boot and mens blazer. Oh, and my Fendi bag of course.

VIRGIN HOLIDAYS: AN ITALIAN FOOD ADVENTURE AT EATALY NYC FLATIRON

// shot for Virgin Holidays// Jacket: Khrisjoy. Turtleneck: COS. Pant: Veronica Beard.

I am so excited to be featured on Virgin Holidays. I travel so much that it only made sense to bring you into my world and inside one of my favorite spots in my home of NYC, and that is Eataly. Eataly NYC Flatiron reminds me of every part of Italy that I adore. I have road tripped through Tuscany, the Amalfi coast, Rome, and Naples under the boiling hot summer sun. I’ve spent winters on work trips in Florence, fashion weeks in Milano, and red carpets at Venice Film Festival. There’s still so many aspects of Italy to discover, and I can do that much of that right here in NYC at Eataly NYC Flatiron. Italians really understand the art of living, loving, and indulging. What really makes Italy a special place for me is the love for food. When I think of an Italian dinner party, I think of rustic long wood tables covered in greenery, fresh fruits, and a ton of wine. To me, there certainly is no greater love than the love for food.

I walk you through 3 of my favorite spots inside Eataly NYC Flatiron that always keep me coming back for more:

MY PARIS UNIFORM | MULBERRY + CARTIER

Jacket worn as a top: Mulberry England. Pant and Trench coat: Mulberry England. Handbag: Cartier. Heels: Christian Louboutin. Sunglasses: Jacques Marie Mage.

Paris is currently buzzing with couture week and though I am actually stuck in NYC working on projects, I can’t help but do a quick flashback to my Paris uniform. I had just left a long brunch at the very elegant Apicius restaurant, soaking in all it’s beauty in the courtyard. It’s a spot I could stay at all, sipping a cappuccino and catching up with friends or simply lying down on the grass with a good book. Classically Parisian, yes? This is a look that will remain timeless and forever in my closet. It’s my version of the 3-piece suit. A little cropped jacket as a top, oversize flared trousers, and a really gorgeous and lightweight wool trench coat. This is a look that could easily be thrown on with beat-up leather combat boots, but for Paris, I always step it up a notch, slipping into a delicate Christian Louboutin mule and grabbing my Cartier Guirlande bag before heading out the door. It’s funny that wherever I go, I tend to adapt. I get inspired by the grand architecture, the gloomy weather that makes you want to curl behind a cup of coffee, and the effortless je ne sais quoi. Paris will always be a spot that I get to go back for work to. Short, but sweet, with a hectic schedule and a lot of jetlag. This year, I’ve been mentally preparing for my year of travels. I’m ready to see new places, new countries. I’m sure there are many more places that will give me the same amount of inspiration that Paris always does time and time again.
