Intimate with Natori

natori-lingerie-23resized

For me, getting dressed really starts with my lingerie. I’m a sucker for romantic sets. The black lace bra. The floral white lace bodysuit. The silk of my powder pink robe. For spring, I’ve been leaning towards Natori lingerie. It’s classic, fits like a dream, and is just pure luxury. Even if i’m throwing on a loose tank and jeans, I still want my lingerie to feel sexy. So if it happens to peek on the side on my tank, it gives off a little mystery. “Now what was that bra she’s wearing?!” I’m always intrigued by what my friends are leaning towards every season. Sharing what bra we’re wearing is such a girl thing. It’s during the weekends that I like to get up really slowly and stay in my underwear. Sipping on coffee and reading a magazine before jumpstarting into the day. Especially on a rainy NYC day. Lingerie should feel personal and intimate. Lucky for me, I have no neighbors that can peer inside my windows.

Weekend Look on a Budget | Chevy

IMG_4995

I had the chance to cruise around one of my favorite neighborhoods in all of NYC, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in none other than the great American car classic, a Chevy! The new Chevy Cruze to be exact. I’m more of a passenger seat sort of person, so Annie from Refinery 29 got behind the wheel and we explored the best of what Williamsburg had to offer vintage and thrift shopping wise. Driving is so much easier in Brooklyn than any other part of Manhattan, so it was nice to lean back and get a different view of the city from inside our Chevy. We went around town, exploring nooks and finding the best deals in town for outfits for girls on a budget. And because it’s Brooklyn, we can be sure find the most unique and statement-making pieces, so we won’t blend in with the crowd. The same goes for our Chevy. It’s always a standout car choice for a city girl!

Click the image below to watch the video on Refinery 29! I have to say the look we found under $200 was killer.

OLD CITY OF SAN JUAN

oldsj48_ED

The architecture in Old City San Juan is stunning. Much of which was born with European influence…from when Puerto Rico was still in Spanish possesion back in the 17th century. You can see it in the vibrant colors, intricate fencing, and narrow streets. All of which remind me of Barcelona. Sundrenched colorful walls which have slowly faded into majestic pastel hues. As I slowly worked on brushing up my Spanish as we explored this beautiful city, we found ourselves sipping on pina coladas daily and devouring in mofongo drenched with hot chicken broth. The heat from the island making me crave the fresh fruit at La Placita. Our skin glowing thanks to the light prespiration that comes with days on our feet and early mornings laying in the sun in nothing but a bikini and off-shoulder summer dress. Dylana and I couldn’t stop taking photos. Every hidden doorway, every shadowed balcony a little gem. A postcard. Running straight through the narrow cobblestone streets, we ended at a cliff overlooking rows of flat rooftops and the blue of the ocean. Talk about breathtaking.

ANGELIC

sullivan-2resized

All of my favorite things are classic and effortless. Rock n’ roll. Ballet. Jane Birkin. Audrey Hepbrun. Same goes with my wardrobe. I recently gave away half of my wardrobe. The crazy prints. The pieces I’ve only worn once and will never wear again. The bags and bags of “why do I own this?” trendy items I end up tossing in my bedroom corner. Spring cleaning is necessary, especially when you’re stockpiling up the easy go-tos. Like gorgeous spring dresses. This Rebeccca Taylor two-pice is so romantic. I love the way it blows in the wind so angelicly. It could double as something to sport with pals at a picnic, or even what my friend wants to wear down the isle at your wedding come September. It’s that good. I can’t wait for the day it’s warm enough that I don’t have to cover up it’s beauty. But I mean, I love this C/CHRST leather jacket with anything.
