Take That Zorro

(Fascue cape dress, Vintage Chanel bag, Dear Fieldbinder boots, Urban hat, Saint Claude dove skull necklace)

You know Zorro right? Spanish for “fox,”also representing the black-clad, mysterious nobleman making his way through California, defending all the land’s people? This dashing lad may just be my new fashion icon. Snapped on a side street in downtown LA, I think I could at least pass as his female partner in crime. Normally for castings, I stick to the classic jeans and blouse look, but weather was just too amazing and so I decided to slip into this tiny cape dress from one of my newest blog sponsors, Fascue. Stay tuned, as their site will be launching very soon and you, yourself can play Zorro hehe! This piece, paired with a grungy hat I snagged at Urban for $5, and the only pair of boots I brought back with me from NYC (you’ll be seeing these a lot), made me feel as if I were ready to take a trip to some far-away land like Europe…Spain to be exact. But looks like overseas travels will have to wait this month, as I’m stuck in California for another week due to some shoots here. It’s no wonder everyone’s coming out here for shoots in the winter. When you can dart out the door in nothing but a black cape, you know the living’s good.

Btw, I’ve been in a Stones mood all week. Play it baby!

Play Ball

(unknown baseball jacket, Hallelu blouse, Marc Jacobs denim shorts, Vintage Chanel bag)

My sister came home for the holidays with this amazing baseball jacket in her bag! Quickly I threw it on and due to it’s perfect fit, she let me have it! I was looking all over on it, trying to find the tag, but because she snagged it at a crazy sample sale in Philadelphia, the brand remains unknown. I’m not one to follow trends, but I have to admit…the whole baseball look is too adorable. It’s tough, but sweet, and reminds me so much of my high school days. I find any sort of old school uniform jacket cute for throwing over anything. Here I went super casual in a simple blouse and a great pair of cut-off denim shorts. Making my way through a local park I used to hang out in after school years ago, I became nostalgic. There are too many memories when I’m home. Looking back now with a completely different mindset makes me realize how simple life was back then! I can’t believe I used to ever worry!

Sea Green

(Mango leather jacket, 2020 Ave blouse, Isabel Lu skirt, Vintage Versace bag)

I was walking to 3rd Street Promenade when I came across this amazing green garage. The shade is soo bright…it’s like a sea foam green, one of my favorite colors. I demanded my friends to stop and take some photos in front of it. Kicking up my heels and acting goofy with Dylana and Shamime, we got some really fun, energetic shots. I actually wore this outfit the night previously, before crashing at my friend’s place in Santa Monica..hence the really scruffy hair and wrinkly shirt. I didn’t feel like packing an extra outfit so ended up wearing the same thing the next day (that’s our little secret)! I really should get on top of things like that before going out in public. Maybe then I won’t look like a giant mess! But it may be one of my favorite looks so I’m quite glad I got in 2 days worth of wear and tear on it! I’m already obsessed with this festive little leopard skirt. It’s shimmer makes it a perfect party piece. The super short length, on the other hand, makes my already too long limbs look freakishly more twig-like. Paired with one of my favorite blouses from my blog sponsor, 2020 Ave, I was ready to take on this sunny day by the coast…even if I could use a wash!
