A SOFTER PALETTE

Is this the new color for spring? A soft, dusty rose? I think so. I’m leaning towards it in everything from my clothes to my lipsticks. And just like with any really elegant piece, I dress it down. White denim jacket? Check. Leather mules? Check. Linda Farrow sunglasses? Check. Here I am snapped in Philadelphia after a long day of filming in the city. It was super hot and muggy…the sweat glistening off my face. I could easily sense a super hot summer ahead full of outdoor beer gardens, concerts, and that occasional mosquito bite.

I’m totally a Dr. Martens and oversize sweater sort of girl, but like most women, I naturally gravitate towards frills, especially come spring. I’m talking about exaggerated sleeves. I’m talking about pom pom heels, oh my! Things all women stop and go “OMG THIS IS TOO DARN CUTE.” Here’s how to do the trend right without going overboard in the girly-girl department. TWO CRISP SPRING LOOKS TO TRAVEL WITH

NYC to Miami! I was just in town for the annual Veuve Clicquot Carnaval and it is by far one of my absolute favorite weekends. A day under the sun to sip champagne and samba dance?! Count me in. This was an extra last minute work trip for me, but I’m a master at throwing things into a little carry-on luggage. The best thing to live in? Denim. It’s light. It’s versatile, and you literally need 4 pieces to get you from Friday-Sunday night.
