The best part of my work travels are the hotels. I like to thoroughly enjoy the room, get a good night’s sleep, and go and out and just get to know the neighborhood. I stumbled across Chanel‘s famous boutique on Rue de Cambon, so you can imagine that I did bring home a little something special for myself. I treated myself to a real Parisian shopping experience and it took no more than 2 seconds. The store was absolutely jam packed with international tourists and there was a long line (sigh). I knew exactly what I wanted. Spotted it on the shelves, chose the color, and was out. This is exactly how I like to shop, fast and easy. More on what’s inside this gorgeous Chanel box coming soon. But back to this insane hotel: I fell in love with the Park Hyatt-Vendôme in Paris. Imagine waking up in a luxurious room of gold, a cool breeze coming in from the two open windows, and the energy of the bustling chic city streets below. It’s exactly what you can expect from being in the heart of the city of love. I could stare out onto Rue de la Paix all day people watching and window shopping. I kept my looks very classic. Throughout my Paris press trip with Armani Beauty, I stuck with my favorite leather pants, metallic blouses, and over-the-top ruffled tunics. Classics with a little twist that can easily be mixed and matched. A velvet stiletto and of course, gorgeous lingerie from Fleur du Mal. The name just rolls of the tongue. Now, it’s time I learn a little bit more French, just in time for Paris Fashion Week.

CROP TOP AND PLATFORMS IN PARIS

A trip to Paris is never complete without taking a quick stop at Le Bon Marché. I took a little extra time to check out what’s new with my favorites at the moment: Valmont skincare, Dries Van Noten, and of course, Chanel. I couldn’t stop swooning at just about everything. I could stay in this department store the entire day, but my jet lag was really kicking in. With work dinners and meetings in Paris, I needed all the little cat naps that I could get so that I could get through it all without falling asleep on a couch somewhere (believe me, it’s happened.) Here I am just a few roads off from Le Bon Marché on what may be the cutest little corner in Paris, complete with cozy, hidden French bistros and fresh flower shops. I kept things light and simple for my day off: a belt bag to keep my hands free, my go-to tweed cropped jacket, and amazing platforms sandals. When Paris skies are grey, I tend to gravitate toward neutrals before ducking away in an Uber. I’ll be waiting for the sun, Paris!

Sì PASSIONE in Paris | ARMANI

I was in Paris with the Armani Beauty team to celebrate the global launch of their new fragrance, Sì Passione. We had a photoshoot with iconic photographer, Tom Munro, before entering the beautiful world of Sì Passione. The gorgeous Palace de Tokyo location was transformed into a sea of Giorgio Armani red exuding an air of femininity and strength. A shiny red staircase welcomed us to this star-studded event, with loads of interactive corners of love and fire-y passion. I’m wearing a look that I’m bound to wear over and over again: an Emporio Armani oversize bright pink blazer, high waisted black glittering trousers, and the perfect stiletto heel. My boyfriend showed me these earrings as I was just finishing up my fitting. He now knows my style now too well. Prepping for this special night was easy. The incredible Armani Beauty team came to my hotel room at the stunning Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme and gave me a smoky, sexy eye, a berry lip, and subtle twist in my hair. Paris brings out this sultry side of my style. When in Paris, I do as a French girl would. French girls keep it undone. Rather than a dress, go with a pantsuit. Rather than a red lip, go for a smoky eye. This is by far one of my favorite looks as of late. The city of love couldn’t have been more of a perfect backdrop for the launch…with a little reason to stop and remember those strong passions that keep us alive.

BELT BAG + OVER THE KNEE BOOTS IN PARIS

I was in Paris for work this past week and with the time difference and excitement, I didn’t get much sleep. For some reason, I anxiously awaited our delicious breakfast each morning at our hotel, the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, and stayed up late into the night catching up on emails, as everyone I work with in NYC was wide awake. Though the city was cold and wet, it still felt more romantic than ever. When I think of romance, I think of Les Marais. I like to say it’s similar to what the West Village is in NYC. Chic, quaint, and just gorgeous. I spent hours with a friend and my boyfriend at Mariage Frères, the iconic tea house, ordering a delicious white herbal pot and munching on the most delicious strawberry cake. I could stay there forever. On a rainy day in the city, there’s really nothing better to do than cuddle up in a gorgeous tea house with zero on your agenda. I had my day off, so I was ready to stroll the glistening streets and get lost in it’s beauty. As for what I packed, I made sure everything was versatile. Like these over-the-knee boots by Tamara Mellon and stunning mini belt bag by Givenchy. I layered these key pieces with just about everything, like this very French-girl-cool dress and blazer by it Parisian label of the moment, Rouje. I surprisingly packed only a 35 lb suitcase, when normally, I’m this close to paying an overweight baggage fee. I did do a little designer shopping while I was away, so I’m happy I left a little extra room in my packed bag. This trip was a beautiful one and I feel lucky that work always brings me to Paris each year. It’s a city everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. Looks like I’ll be back in a few more weeks for just about the best fashion week yet.
