I am so excited to be a part of the new Free People intimates campaign shot here in NYC at the iconic Pier 59 Studios! I always start my day with these feel-good foundation pieces. Comfort allows me to bare my happy, and these essentials make getting dressed feel like a breeze. I’ve never had more fun dancing around in my undies on set, and with the best team. It’s amazing to be back in the studio with Free People. The brand I go way back and have continued to work together throughout the years. I remember our first project together, the October 2010 catalog cover! It feels so good to reunite and get to collaborate once again on such a happy and body positive campaign. I’ve never felt more confident in my skin than I do now. Thank you #intimatelyFP for allowing me to be 100% me.
On my last visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia I had the pleasure of staying at the beautifulHotel Majestic. My grandfather was the manager at the Station Hotel in the 50’s, another historic hotel just across the street, where my mother spent most of her childhood! She had many stories of sneaking off to Hotel Majestic, hiding in the hotel corridors as a kid, making new friends with travelers from around the world. She loved getting a taste of the world outside Malaysia by being in touch with so many international guests. The Majestic opened back in 1932 as one of the most luxurious 5 star hotels in all of Malaysia and to this day, still stays true to both it’s rating and charming old self. It also has a lot of British influence, complete with a gorgeous orchid room serving afternoon high-tea and. It’s amazing staying at a hotel that is so iconic and so in touch with my mother’s childhood. It was like taking a step in the past, with a touch of Old Hollywood glamour. Noodle soup and curry for breakfast ain’t so bad either. Thank you Hotel Majestic for the lovely stay!
*take a quick cab to Breakfast Thieves for a really special brunch! *
There’s something so brilliantly 70’s about Kork-Ease. Their iconic sandals have been a favorite of mine ever since I discovered the brand out here in Brooklyn, where the it all began back in 1953. When something’s been around that long, you know it’s great. They just collaborated with Free People in creating the Original and most iconic platform of the 70’s. We’re talking new heights! Made for those babes who live for vintage, collect their Dad’s old records, and would do anything for the perfect dancing shoe. Their new Heights platforms are 4 inches high, but believe me, they totally rock and are still comfortable. I love this fun new spin on the classic cork wedge sandal from Kork-Ease.
When I want to go extra wild, I’ll whip out the pink platforms, pair them with a polka-dot sock, and my sister’s crochet mini. Keep the prints pleasantly clashing if you really want to make a statement at the next disco house party down the block. I’ve always been a shoes girl, and a lot of my looks revolve around a pair that I’m dying to take out on the town. The funkier the better. Now isn’t this just one dream collab?! Happy to be one of the first girls on the block to own this collection.
