Living Room Cool

(Herff Christansen vest, Vintage skirt, Hasbeens for H&M shoes, Hallelu and MANGO rings)

This week so far has been a breeze. I’ve finally gotten some much needed r & r! Finally getting over the crazy allergies that decided to take over my body, and feeling much better now! This week, I went to support my lovely sister Dylana at her H&M photoshoot for the new Hasbeens and H&M shoe collaboration. I am wearing them here in this post! These Swedish clogs are extremely comfy and give me an extra unneeded height boost. They go perfectly with the rest of my wardrobe, so I’m quite happy to get a pair before they even hit stores! The photoshoot was a complete blast. I got some great behind the scenes footage of Dylana, catching her looking like a total supermodel. At the shoot, we even got in a few sister shots as well (me as her sidekick ehehhe!)! I’m excited to see how the shoot turned out!

And with the sudden heat we’ve been having, all I feel like doing is lounging around, in the warmth of my living room to be exact! Besides my new Hasbeens for H&M sandals (which I kind of keep wearing now), I’ve got on a stellar zipper vest and my favorite velvet vintage skirt. Super simple. The heat makes me lazy and sleepy, but I’m loving the change in behavior 🙂

UPDATE: It’s also FREEBIE FRIDAY on Nylonmag.com. See my feature and be sure to enter to win a bunch of VOLCOM clothes from the new collection! Enter HERE!

Don’t play with fire.

hahahahah dy looks like a baby with a bib.

Here is just a little sneak peek into my recent photoshoot for Volcom! It’s easy to see that the Volcom team is incredibly fun. I never know what to expect when I step on set. This time, they definitely brought the bad girl out on me. I was caught playing with fire, whipping my hair back and forth, and participating in all sorts of wrongdoings (just kidding). But I did enjoy every second of the photoshoot. The whole Volcom team always make me laugh! We fought over what music to play (Girl Talk hip hop music always ended up being our playlist) and danced together in sync to the music (which I caught on tape, until my cell decided to be retarded and delete the epic video grrrr). Anyways, I’m desperately craving for the leopard trench coat, mustard colored sweaters, and rust colored pants. WANT WANT WANT. These stellar pieces aren’t out yet, but I already have them on my wish list! For now, visit me VOLCOMUNITY.COM!

Eating at Pink Taco! GUACAMOLE!

I still need our sweet jumping pics to add to this post! hehe

My very good friend, the adorable Julie of Sincerely Jules, was hosting the Madewell event here in Century City. It was so fun viewing the new collection and munching on delicious sweets! Thanks to my sweater, this turned out to be one briiiight post. I paired my electric orange pullover with a vintage skirt by Calvin Klein and a vintage hat I bought in Spain. Easy and simple for a weekend out with friends. After the event, we got a huge table at Pink Taco and devoured some of the yummiest Mexican food ever under the sun. Many thanks to Jules for inviting us! It was one hell of a time 😉

My favorite twins, Rebecca of Style With Benefits and Melanie of Wrecked Stellar! I loved their outfits!

On Friday night, I hosted the MANGO + Marie Claire event in Santa Monica! It was the most wonderful experience ever. So many of my friends came out, as well as many of my blog readers! I got to finally meet them in person, and even help them shop for some of their favorite spring pieces. Everyone found a MANGO piece they loved that really fit their own personal style. Specially for the event, I went with a beautiful head to toe MANGO outfit. It was very romantic and soft, perfect for spring: a sheer printed blouse with a blush pink ballerina skirt. It was the first thing I tried on when I went in a few days in advance to pick out my outfit and right away, I knew it was the special outfit to wear that night.

I had the lovely MANGO film crew there to videotape me at the event. They were so much fun and I felt totally comfortable in front of the camera. I did interviews throughout the night, as well as got in footage with the guests! It was such a blast. We had a ton of laughs. So many of the guests got dressed in MANGO looks and got their picture taken, to enter the $500 raffle! (Congrats to my lovely blog reader, Jennifer, for winning!)

I ended the evening with a performance, singing and playing my guitar. I did one song, and everyone wanted to hear more, and so I went ahead and sang another one. I loved performing for everyone live. It was such a special part of the night. I’m a bit nervous to see it on video, but also very excited. It was such a wonderful evening and I have give a big thank you to MANGO and Marie Claire magazine for giving me this opportunity. To be a part of the MANGO brand has been a total dream come true. It was one night I will never forget! Thanks to everyone who came out! xx
