The weekend is just around the corner and so I thought I’d host a very special giveaway with one of my favorite LA based denim brands, Raven Denim! As you know, I’m addicted to their Remy Jean in Aztec (as seen on me here in Central Park). The denim is super soft and doesn’t stretch out at all! I could wear them for weeks on end and still, they’d look hot. Okay, that’s a bit much, but you get what I mean! I’m so obsessed, I’ve even got an Olive pair being shipped to me right now. I know the different colored denim will work well into fall. I’m excited for one of you to get to receive a pair as well and take them on a test drive! You’ll quickly fall in love with this label.

The Perfect Summer Frock

Living in NYC, I’ve become a mix and match master. Whether it be switching up shorts with blouses or skirts and crop tops, I’m always playing around with colors and proportions. It really just helps make my wardrobe feel fresh and fun. But the perfect summer frock makes life SO MUCH EASIER. I just left the house for a stroll down the Promenade and threw on this one simple piece, a little floral dress. It’s a relief sometimes not to worry about what to wear. I need more dresses in my life! This one’s got a perfect cut: small on the top with a sexy open back. It’s simplicity makes it a must have for whenever I just want to run out without the fuss. I seem to always throw in a little something completely unexpected into my looks as well. This time? My CREEPERS. Girly with a touch of punk! And if you haven’t noticed yet, this green Volcom cargo jacket goes with me everywhere and I know I’ll wear it deep into Fall. Erm, it’s dying for a wash…

A Wonderful Gift

Here is an amazing illustration of me by my lovely reader and artist, Neysa Bove! Everything from the intricate detail of the lace short to the scribbles of my name, are absolutely beautiful. This is probably one of the coolest gifts I’ve ever received. To inspire someone to make art feels so amazing. Neysa, a Spanish artist working in LA, is so talented! DKNY Summer Bash

This girl is AMAHZING. period.

Even though I’ve been so busy with work, I always squeeze some fun time into my life as well. Right after work, I rushed home, quickly threw on this striped oversize tee and high waisted skirt, and actually made it to the DKNY pool party just in time! I wanted to be very casual for this little summer bash. My good friend Taisa (of the website Amahzing) and I sipped on champagne and munched on amazing hors d’ ouvres like juicy mini cheeseburgers! I was so full off of them that I had to skip dinner altogether! The event was held at the Dream Hotel in the Meatpacking district, one of the most beautiful, trendy hotels in the city. There, I ran into so many people that I have worked with here in NYC and so it was great to see some familiar faces. DKNY was celebrating the launch of their latest sunglasses collection and everyone took home an awesome pair. Because I have a smaller face, I went with one of their new small framed sunnies! Can’t wait to show them to you! There are so many amazing events lined up here in NYC. I just hope I have time to attend them! 🙂
