SHAG SHAG SHIMMY SHAKE

(Vintage sweater from Manhattan Vintage, H&M vest, J Brand ripped jeans (similar), UGG fingerless gloves, Cuyana scarf, Elizabeth and James sunglasses, HUGO BOSS handbag, ASH footwear sneakers)
I still have SO SO much to show you from NYFW, and I can’t even begin. I’ve been out and about, as Missguided’s NYC galll all week, trying to make as many shows as possible, all while still having a normal life! Between work, and shooting, and LONDONTOWN, I haven’t had must rest, but my jetlag is finally wearing off and I’m back in NYC groove! Rather than running amuck in the below 10 degree weather in stilettos (how did they do it?!), all I could do was slide into a pair of leather sneakers, ripped jeans, and call it a day. This SHAGGY SHAG SHAG of a sweater defines me of this winter. I’ve worn it massive amounts. I’ve been all about the oversize layers, and extra long vests. The brown tones here remind of the girls plopped on the garage couch in That 70’s Show…the same warm colors I’d find in my mother’s vintage clothing. But of course, I’m a color girl, so a pop of bright pink lips sealed the deal. I can’t wait for a warm September fashion week everybody!

LONDON CALLING// NOKIA LFW

(VEDA leather jacket, W Concept hat, Motel Rocks turtleneck, Cameo overalls dress, Hugo Boss handbag, “Natalie + Dylana Suarez x MODERN VICE” Free People JETT boots)

I can’t even begin to tell you have much I love London. The people, the killer style, the music, the old charm. I arrived to loads of rain, had about 10 minutes to check into my Covent Garden hotel…and immediately was whisked away by car to the first show. With the rain, I was tucked in the backseat, snapping photos of the scene en route to the Fyodor Gollan show with Nokia. Jetlagged of course. I just had my L’oreal Paris shoot back in NYC before hopping on my red-eye and so I’ve been sporting my brand new hair colour…a red ombre. Subtlely bright, yet still oh, so perfect for London! You won’t believe how many different hair colours I spotted around town. Pretty wicked.
Anyways, my first stop was Fyodor Gollan…where the two designers created one of the world’s first interactive dress! The skirt, pleated with large screened Nokia Lumia 1020 and 1520 phones. Talk about absolutely stunning…the light illuminating off the dress! Such an insane way to start off my London Fashion Week! From there, we made our way to the PINK runway show. The leather baseball caps, shimmer, and electic midi skirts blowing my mind. I would do a bright pink lip and little round sunglasses any day of the week. A long weekend in London was so much needed. Visiting old, and new friends, all while exploring this beautiful city from Brick Lane to colorful Notting Hill. Luckily for the cloudless skies Saturday and Sunday, I left squinting in the English sun, never wanting to leave.
So much more to share from London Fashion Week!

HEART SHAPED CANDY

(Motel Rocks turtleneck sweater and jumper dress, Harper Ave backpack (similar), APC coat, Vans leather SK-8 sneakers)
I just landed in London and of course my flight HAD to be on Valentine’s Day! BOO. I’ve gone from NYFW, to photoshoot, and then jumped onto a red-eye flight to LONDON, ENGLAND all before unpacking boxes of sugar candy hearts and red sparkle confetti. Currently smacking myself in the head. I miss you Jordan, I really do! BE. MY. VALENTINE. Anyways, here, I’m featured in Motel Rocks…in my ultimate DATE NIGHT look. Jordy and I like to keep things casual. Maybe a late night creeping into a local dive bar, or heading out in black on black to the movies. My basics: a chauffer’s cap, black turtleneck, and leather mini. And the New York blizzards have me trading in my shoulder bags for this weather-proof yellow beauty of a backpack! WIN, WIN, minus the fact that I lost the left hand of this perfect leather pair of gloves!  Utterly heartbroken. Guess I’ll stay wrapped in my hotel’s robe eating my “Taken” heart-shaped candy.

HUDSON JEANS // THE PERFECT PAIR

HUDSON JEANS // THE PERFECT PAIR photographed by Dylana Suarez
LOOK 1: This may be my absolute favorite look of all. Shot in the grittiness of the shoe factory, it’s been a main part of my workspace this past year…in creating the JETT collection and variety of styles that came with it. The energy there is so fantastic!! I decided to just shimmy my way into the Hudson“Sid Zipper Crop” jean paired with the blue snake boot. With just a navy blue cap and military vest, I couldn’t help but keep it as simple as that. Bare belly and all!
LOOK 2: Right when I get home, I like to slip into a sweatpant…but these are so good, and made for wearing out. I like them with a heeled bootie and a red baseball jacket. The heels give this sporty look a bit more edge.
LOOK 3: Rock n’ Roll, Hendrix! All I want is to go to Woodstock when I’m hidden behind these oversize round shades. Paired with a shimmering metallic feathered jacket and the comfiest moto jeans known to man, I could spend the whole night dancing. The white boot is a new favorite for me this year. It’s sleek enough to wear out to a party, yet wearable enough for a day working in the factory.
