A GOLDEN BROWN

I’m slowly watching my tan sadly fade. Summer isn’t over just yet, is it? With work, I’ve been stuck in the city shooting, rushing right once I’m done Friday evenings to hop in the car with a small suitcase, a bag full of potato chips, and a new playlist. Frazzled. Shelter Island, here we come! But just wait, I’ve got loads more travels up my sleeve. It’s all worth the craziness of GETTING THERE. This time, I packed the ultimate black bikini. Black and white on the beach is my favorite. Against the colorful swimsuits and reflector sunglasses you do stick out like a sore thumb. Simple is sometimes better. The netted white tank and white denim shorts just happen to be bare necessitites….what I throw on before and after a good paddleboarding session. I could live the island life forever and ever.

For night, I go for eclectic colors and prints. This gorgeous twin set byNicole Miller is striking and easy. A sailcoth stripe! It feels lived in. I can’t wait for our NM Warrior campaign shoot to come out (yep, starring the Suarez Sisters!) Stay tuned.

SHEER SHAKE

I’m all about the teeny tiny pops of neon. This sheer blouse is pure perfection. I love the hint of pink. It’s a perfect POP to go with the rest of the black and grungy fringe in my current closet. This was snapped one weekend in Brooklyn after a long day scavenger hunting with GANT in Boreum Hill and Williamsburg (I haven’t done a scavenger hunt since I was a kid!) I think my legs were about to fall off after all the walking, Uber rides, mapquesting, and video-taking. But there were perks, like finding new rad little places I’ll continue to make a pit-stop at: like the Blind Barber for coffee and Modelos, and Miles End Deli for sandwiches and pickles the size of my head. Mmhmm. It was a full day to explore new parts of our city, and make new friends along the way. I’m always the one who has to stop and stare at sunset. Magic hour is my favorite hour.

I’m once again out of town this weekend in the Hamptons to escape and unwind before a long day of work. Currently in a bikini in bed overlooking the swimming pool. YES. Tomorrow I’m shooting a super exciting campaign bright and early (can’t wait to share what!) Make sure to follow this week’s ON DUTY adventures on my Instagram.

A DATE WITH SUBOO X PANDORA

Yep, I had a SERIOUS date with Pandora x SUBOO. Over pancakes, chicken waffles, and mimosas of course. Both designer labels I’ve coveted forever and ever. And during Miami Swim Week, the pair teamed up to put on one of my favorite shows! I knew SUBOO would put on something a bit more edgy than everything else we’ve seen. Why do Aussie’s do swim SO GOOD?! The black cut-outs, the leather-like swimsuits. It was dark, yet it was light. The badass vibes were softened with gorgeous florals and white. It’s their high, sporty necklines and “oo my bootie looks good!” low bottoms that get me every season. Pandora pulled these looks together with a simple charmed band on each model down the runway. Classic. Just the way I like it.

WARRIOR WOMAN // 6 Shore Road runway

I made a super special appearance on the 6 Shore Road runway show during Miami Swim Week! Closing the show, and all smiles down the runway with designer Pooja for the grand finale. I hadn’t walked the runway in YEARS. It was like my 17 year old self again….walking the likes of YSL, Nina Ricci, Marc Jacobs. So many memories. But never have I done SWIM WEEK. I closed the 6 Shore Road show in the gorgeous neon embroidered Tigress Kaftan. Inspired by the warrior women of Nepal, I was decked in gorgeous silver hardware, white henna, a badass nose ring, and extra thick black eyeliner. I absolutely love this type of look. The hair, a twisted braid down the back. Never can I get over her gorgeous prints, and eclectic cut-out swimsuits and coverups. I had the best time playing WARRIOR WOMAN on the catwalk. Who knows when my next runway show will be…maybe NYFW?
