When I find a good pair of jeans, I live in them. Meet the La Vie jeans by Rebecca Taylor jeans you guys have all been asking about. They sure do hug your curves perfectly that all you want to do is dance in them and shake your bum. Lately, I’ve been going super Old Hollywood. Sunglasses almost as cool as Kurt Cobain’s and a leather wrap vest made by my best friend Sabrina SL. She sure is talented and also makes the jewelry I wear by hand. This vest is meant to be worn every which way. With a rock tee underneath, or a turtleneck come fall. Grab one while she is still making them! Each stitch unique and different. This is kind of my go-to look on the weekends. Now adios…babe has a long weekend off!

Getting my DUMBO loft together this year has been insanely fun. My first home in NYC that is finally a real home and I love putting of my eclectic touch to the place. I just felt I needed one last item. Something with color. Something that pops. An unexpected, unique touch that is still clean and minimal, but has a bit of personality. Meet my new dreamy pink chair and matching coffee table by PROMEMORIA. PROMEMORIA is based on Lake Como, Italy and not only is their furniture extremely well made…their high-end designs are unique, playful and so elegantly beautiful. They have antique roots going back to the 19th century, but a love for detail and special designs. Each piece meant to not only be a beautiful piece of art, but also meant to be lived in and loved in. The Vittoria chair in a bright pink velvet was the finishing touch to my home. Where I like to sip my morning coffee on a Sunday morning.

I literally call this look “party on top…casual on the bottom.” It’s rare I find a sneaker that I absolutely love. One that is sleek and classic, and a bit vintage. Tretorn‘s classic sneaker is super retro-inspired. It’s a shoe my Mom and Dad would have worn together in one of their classic 70’s flashbacks complete with neon sport shorts and two matching bikes. But I love this sneaker with a dramatic party on the top. I went with a bold billowing off-shoulder blouse, and some vintage inspired cropped flares. As I’ve grown older, I realized that less is more. You never need to over-style anything ever again ladies.

Joie De Vivre: (noun) exuberant enjoyment of life.

Haleigh took this photo of me and said that is “joie de vivre.” The ability to love life in it’s most simple and pure form. I’ve been obsessed with the term ever since. My joy in life is creating. Creating photos. Memories. Songs. Stories. Friendships. But most importantly, creating moments. It could be the excitement of waking up in a new city with just a camera, a good friend, and your imagination. Or it could be the moment you slip on your favorite pair of jeans that make you go “damn, I feel good.” Or the fulfillment you get by staying in and cooking yourself a meal at home. Joie de vivre is like waking up everyday and feeling completely free. Free from past experiences, people, and anything holding us back from purely enjoying the moment and seeing what makes life so beautiful. Sometimes we get so caught up in what’s happening around us that we forget what’s happening inside of us. Communicate and be open to just about anything. Be an opportunist. Just breathe. Just live. Laugh at yourself. Do what makes you happy and cherish this little thing we all go through called life.
