THAT’S A WRAP 2017

In 2017, I discovered my strength and my freedom. I finally feel like I can do anything I set my mind to. It’s a powerful thing. There are no more doubts. I wake up feeling the need to grow and discover. In 2018, I look forward to more days of gratitude. More days of thanks. More days of wow, we did this. Wow, we created this. More days of overcoming fears. More days of knowledge. More moments of clarity. More days of happiness. I feel full taking a second to look back at the year. Never have I felt more grateful for my sister Dylana, most of which here, these moments were shared. We have a bond that will live on forever. With each new year, we push each other to be the best, happiest version of ourselves, no matter how challenging it may be. It’s so important to have someone in your life who without a doubt, will always be on your team. Thanks to Team Suarez, these dreams were made possible: walking the Rebecca Minkoff runway show…sweeping Paris Fashion Week with super French chic Sandro… gracing the glossy international pages of ELLE, Vogue, and more… walking by my very own O’Neill campaign billboard in Huntington Beach…shooting for M Missoni in the English countryside…creating whimsy magic for Gucci…hopping through every single live show during festival season from Indio to Nashville…doing as the Italians do at Milan Fashion Week…and relaxing unplugged moments on the beaches of Tulum and St. Maarten. With all the craziness in between, it’s important for me to stop every single night and write down what I’m grateful for each day. Right now, I’m grateful for all of you. I feel your love and support every single day. You guys bring so much positivity in my work…I’ll never forget this community I’ve called home for about a decade now. Thanks for growing with me.

STARTING THE NEW YEAR RIGHT | 2018

2018, let’s be magical. Like with every new year, I begin with a cleanse. First it begins in my home. I go through ever drawer, every cabinet, every unopened box, letter, and email. Organization. Spotless. I’ve got palo santo wood…sage…whatever I can burn to really bring in the positive energies. Out with the old. In with the new. My closet becomes a lot more tidy. I’ve got my “to shoot” racks of clothing for my team and I to go through and then I’ve got my “keeping forever and ever” closet of classics and essentials. Everything needs to be in place. As the new year begins, I’m suddenly eating healthier and hitting the gym every single day. I’ve never felt so sore in my entire life, but I’m loving that feeling of releasing energy, and keeping on my toes. The idea of a fresh, clean slate inspires me. When my home, my work space, and body feel so in tune, so does my mind. Now is a time to think, what can I improve on? What makes me happy? What should I be doing this year that helps me reach my highest potential? Time to remember why we’re here.

CLASSIC AT THE CARTIER MANSION

Right now, more than ever, I’m inspired by classic elegance. It’s a look that will never go out of style. This was a killer highlight of the year, working with Cartier throughout 2017. Here I am at the Cartier Mansion on 5th Avenue just before the space became open to the public, but only for a few days of course. I was draped in the Tutti Frutti collection. This maroon piece is new, from today’s collection, while the blue piece is a vintage original…a real collector’s item. Cartier High Jewelry is the most unique of all, worn by icons all over the world like Grace Kelly and Elizabeth Taylor. Cartier High Jewelry is oversize, decadent, drool-worthy. There’s no holding back…go all out. It’s amazing how a fur shawl and gorgeous diamonds can really dress up my most simple tank dress. That’s the beauty in this look…making something simple, extraordinary.

THE SLIDE OF THE SEASON | STUART WEITZMAN

The Stuart Weitzman EYELOVE mule may just be the it slide of the season. They’re totally grab n’ go, are lined with shearling, and are on a mission to give back. This Stuart Weitzman x Gigi Hadid shoe is working to build three additional schools with Pencils of Promise, an organization dedicated to making quality education available to children all over the world. Every time I look down at my feet, I’m reminded that it’s possible to make change…even in the little things. I have been wearing this mule to elegantly dress down just about everything I own…even with my favorite power suit. Now this is how I like to go from the office to the open road. I found this beautiful location here in Los Angeles, by my family’s home and have been drawn to it ever since. I fell in love with it’s majestic mountains, neutral color palette, and blue skies. It feels so powerful. The perfect place to spread the strong energy of the EYELOVE mule. This “evil eye” symbol carries a powerful message that never goes out of style. It protects us from negative energies, making sliding into the New Year on a positive note a breeze. Sometimes we need that little feeling of comfort and protection to give us that extra push. The EYELOVE mule easily incorporates a positive spiritual connection into our everyday, and I love every bit of it.
