HAVING A #STYLEHIGH IN THE NORTH FORK

Happy 4th my loves! Just wanted to check in and give a quick hello. I’ve been on set for a new campaign project these past 3 days in Red Hook, Brooklyn so I’m glad to finally get a moment with all of you now that I’ve finally caught up on a bit more sleep! I have family in town this 4th of July meaning I get to grab everyone I know and love, fill up a giant picnic bag, and head to the park. I honestly can’t remember the last time I actually enjoyed my beautiful Brooklyn Bridge park or my rooftop here in DUMBO on a weekday, so I’m happy to do something casual and local for the holiday. Up next on the horizon is an out-of-this-world work trip to Singapore meaning it’s time for me to get my house all organized, and finish up all my last minute projects in the city before getting on that 24 hour flight. For those who are spending a lot more time in the city this summer and looking for a new getaway spot that’s just as beautiful and a lot more quiet and secluded than the Hamptons, head to the North Fork of Long Island. Specifically, the Sound View Greenport Hotel! How stunning is this beauty rocky little beach? I was in town the other week with the Shopbop team for their summer #StyleHigh kickoff and fell in love with this little town so close to home. If you go, take a trip to Macari Vineyards for wood oven pizza and rosé followed by one of my favorites, a good clambake on the deck of the hotel. I packed easy romantic ruffled tops and loads of stripes. Summer out east really is something special. I find a new beach to fall in love with every single drive out there. But because I spend so much time on the road as it is, having some quality time at home for a hot second is going to be well worth it.

SHOT ON FILM FOR THE OMEGA TRESOR CAMPAIGN

Some things will always remain timeless. The OMEGA Tresor watch is one of them. I wanted to take you behind the scenes on one of my latest campaigns for OMEGA. The team flew in from Europe for our shoot with one vision in mind: to create beautiful black and white portraits with the best backdrop of all. . .New York City. Shot by by Christoph Schaller, we kept things classic and minimal. The mix of digital and raw filmmaking made for a stunning and cinematic little silent movie. Naturally, I chose to wear a bold sequin suit for this particular campaign. There’s something so special about a sequin suit. It works as a glamorous piece, yet also a tough-girl masculine, tomboy piece. I thought it would perfectly pop against our iconic set: a simple black backdrop in the middle of bustling Manhattan. OMEGA has mastered the art of creating classic meets contemporary timepieces. The Tresor collection for women stays true to the brand’s tradition in amazing Swiss made designs, with new details to inspire the next generation. How insane is the delicate row of glittering diamonds? You can see them only as you get really close and that’s what I love…a subtle luxury that still works for everyday wear. OMEGA is bringing this new modern woman into each and every one of their current black and white, iconic campaigns and I feel lucky to be a part of the movement.

80’S INSPIRED PROENZA SCHOULER

I just got back to the city after shooting a new campaign with The Outnet in Montauk where I got to frolic on the beach in all of my favorite designer pieces. It was there on set that I fell in love with this Proenza Schouler dress hanging beautifully on the rack. It’s popping 80’s inspired print and sleek silhouette had me make a bee-line for it right away. Absolute drool-worthy perfection. I took it back to the city to wear for a big night out paired with my most delicate Malone Soulier heels. Here I am snapped just outside the Hotel Americano where I was speaking on the latest Shop Who What Wear panel, before meeting up with The Outnet team at Cecconi’s Dumbo to kick off the summer solstice. When I’ve got a long night of celebrations, a statement dress is what I go for. Speaking of which, I’m currently designing a clothing line launching this Fall. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! I can’t wait to tell you where it will be sold and the epic team involved, but keep on following for loads of sneak peeks into the design process.  Imagine loads of statement dresses, tops, satin sets, track suits, and more. I can’t wait to share this experience with you. This is certainly going to be one summer to remember…an extra fun one all while the team and I work out booty’s off. For now, I’m taking the Saturday to kick off the heels and straight up chill, hit up the farmer’s market, and catch up with friends. What are you all up to this weekend?

MY VERSION OF THE CINDERELLA DRESS

It isn’t often that I get to wear a huge ballgown, but I’m taking advantage of the moments that I can. Like here, for the MOMA “Afterparty in the Garden” with Carolina Herrera. My version of the Cinderella dress has voluminous sleeves, a fitted waist, and a giant skirt. But it’s with the print and color that I can have the most fun. Carolina Herrera makes going to a summer party extra standout with blue and yellow polka-dots and conffeti-esque oversize earrings. I completed the look with a pink/orange pair of Manolos and a new addition to my designer handbag collection . . . this rare and vintage Chanel barrel bag. A super tiny bag, that’s still large enough for my oversize iPhone 8. I like the play of proportion with a voluminous dress and a miniature accessory. It’s cartoonish, but in the best way.
