CLUB MONACO// BEACH BOUTIQUE

CLUB MONACO// BEACH BOUTIQUE

win a trip to TULUM!

//Club Monaco white blouse, crochet short, leopard espardrilles, and romper//
also featuring a Walter Baker leather jacket and Worth & Worth hat
The beach just brings me memories of clean, crisp whites and bold navy blues. Esparadrilles so comfy, I want them to in every color. The leopard caught my attention right away, and immediately added a little something-something to the perfect white on white ensemble. I always mix textures, keeping the color as one. The perfect crochet short. The pom-pom kimono blouse. Elegant, but still good enough to get dirty in the sand with! Over a bikini, I’m all for the classic ROMPER. It fits in my beach bag, and it’s my GO-TO for long, exotic getaways under the sun. Here I’ve got 3 beach ready pieces, making for a VERY light suitcase and extra good times.
The Club Monaco Beach Boutique collection’s spirit is reflected in the warmth of theYucatán in Mexico. The beautfiul embroidery and soft cottons and silks. The light color palette bound to pop against the rich and bright colors of Mexcio.

Now for the fun part!

Simply tag #CMBeach on Instagram and post your summer inspiration photos, for a chance to win a stay at the Coqui Coqui Hotel in Tulum

WHAT’S LOST IN SPAIN

I’ve lately been looking back, seeing all that’s been missing on NATALIE OFF DUTY, and I found a year’s worth of memories and images that have been documented, saved, and unpublished. AKA, BARCELONA. Beautiful, gorgeous, BARCELONA. I rarely slept. Rather, I went out late to Las Ramblas, got kicked out of bars, and tried some of the best food EVER in some of the city’s most romantic corners. The hidden alleys, looking up onto the flower pots from the local’s windows. Colorful cafes and motorbikes zooming by quickly everywhere I turn. Just look both ways before crossing!! Even more fun? THE OUTFITS. Though I was working, I still brought a ton of other looks to accompany me on my OFF DUTY days. Lauren Moffatt crop tops and dresses, Harlyn velvet overalls, cut-off denim shorts, and many, many hats. I wore woven hats all summer long. Luckily, there are some things I can take from the boys. Summers in Europe always leave me tan, and with that hot sweaty sheen on my skin. The result of living life exactly how you want it to be: free and out of a suitcase. I’m working all summer in the hot and crazy NYC, but I’ve got Stockholm and Berlin booked for the end of August. A bit early to think of what to pack, but by then, we will all just be tasting a bit of the refreshing Fall. But for now, I’m living in rompers and bikinis until I no longer can.

SI SEñIORITA

I’m currently saying SI SI to the perfect rainbow KINI. And wishing for more of that hot yellow sun, bouncing off our perfect Spanish style home. Gosh, Palm Springs. How did your visit end so fast?! It didn’t seem long ago that we were just throwing our feather headdresses into carry-on suitcases, charging our cameras, and mapping out the LONG roadtrip headed straight to the 100 degree desert. Endless piles of clothes in the backseat of our car…breakfast by the pool..streaks of sunscreen on our elbows. Us girls know how to do festival season RIGHT. BIKINI AFTER KINI. GIG AFTER GIG. We survived. And I loved every single crazy minute of it. Now, it isn’t just in California I go with all colours of the rainbow.//BEACHRIOT bikini, Siwy Denim shorts (similar), Vanessa Mooney choker, Dannijo earrings, The 2 Bandits spirit cuff & scarecrow cuff //

BRICK LANE// BEEP BEEP

LONDON, February 2014// all photographs by me
BEEP BEEP! COMING THROUGH! London is best for jetting around in your orange bippy down Brick Lane and past the flower market…causing quite the commotion. London is where I’d live if I weren’t an American born and raised in LA, transplanted into crazy NYC. It’s got the charm. It’s got the music. It’s got the absolute beauty…and it’s got the gloomy, rainy days. All of which I love, especially when the smells of exotic foods float past you through the market. Purple tulips here, red roses over there…so fresh, you just wish you’d had plucked them from your very own garden. Ready to set perfectly on your kitchen table. London is made for these easy-going types of moments on a Sunday. A super beautiful and rare, SUNNY day in the UK before I boarded my butt on a plane back to the grinde of NYC life. There are times I wish I were still walking the cobblestone streets through the tunnels, listening to the music from the organ on the street. The grit and grime, and witty sense of humour (plus the accenet) gets me every time I visit.
