BALLERINA PINK

// Malone Souliers shoes, Sandro Paris dress and skirt, Ming Ray handbag //

I have recently rediscovered my love for dance. With all the evenings spent inside, I naturally began a nightly routine where I throw on a pair of stockings, blast some music, and start to freestyle, twisting and turning in my living room. I grew up taking lessons. Jazz, hip-hop, ballet, you name it. It was through dance that I really first able to express myself, and that love really just came back, completely out of the blue. I guess what lives inside of you, never really goes away. I now feel more reconnected with my body than ever before. This look is inspired by the little ballerinas inside of us. It started with these pastel Malone Souliers shoes. I was inspired by their softness and femininity. I will be so ready to make NYC my dance floor when the time comes.

STRONG AND SWEET

// Tamara Mellon boots, Gypseye earrings, H&M Conscious Exclusive top, Frame denim trousers //

In these uncertain times, it feels good to spread a little love. I teamed up with Tamara Mellon to give away a few pairs of shoes to my readers and their loved ones. Community has a new meaning to me. It simply means to spread love. Community is a discussion. It is a time to listen, learn, and most importantly, give. Even if all the giving you can do is share a smile, or sweet text message. That is more than enough.

These are what I like to call my “tough girl” boots. They’re bold and definitely something to turn heads the moment you walk into a room. Now more than ever, I feel the need to be tough, like my beautiful city of New York. Tough means standing together and helping those that need it most. These are power boots, paired with something sweet, like a romantic tulle top, gold earring, and red lip. Strong and sweet. These truly are the greatest parts of being a woman.

TWEED ON TWEED ON TWEED | KATE SPADE NEW YORK

// Kate Spade New York topper, skirt, belt bag, and sandals //

These were taken on a chilly afternoon in Bryant Park early March, just before New York’s order of “shelter in place” came into play. I already miss moments like these, sitting outside people watching, just on the brink of spring. Usually, this is a time for us New Yorkers to spend all of our lunch breaks and happy hours out in our beautiful parks. We like being out. We like being together. The energy is unlike anywhere else. Spring is usually the city’s breath of fresh air and new beginnings. For now, I will be dressing for spring inside my home, just to brighten up my day, and it’s completely working. Spring is now a mindset. Working with Kate Spade New York all of these years has really brought me so much joy. Every month, the collections just get better and better. Happier and happier. Modern, with a retro blast from the past. With this collection, there was a major play on green tweed. A matching tweed topper and skirt set. I even added in the matching belt bag, worn over my shoulder, and a sleek pair of sandals. I can’t wait to wear this look out again.

VINTAGE THEIRRY MUGLER

// Vintage Thierry Mugler blazer, Stine Goya pants, Reike Nen heels, Soru earrings //

Vintage always holds a special place in my heart. I love a piece that tells a story. I wonder who wore this piece and where before I got it. I scored this vintage Thierry Mugler blazer at What Goes Around Comes Around in Los Angeles. I get a rush of excitement whenever I visit this cozy space filled with old treasures. You never know what you’ll find, and I’m always so pleasantly surprised and inspired by fashion all over again when I get in touch with it’s past. I threw this blazer on in the fitting room and fell in love with the elegant fit of it’s waist, the longer hem, and perfectly structured shoulder. There are some designers that create such artful pieces that just make you feel like a superstar. Thierry Mugler is one of them. I can’t wait for the day when stores like these come back alive. Where we can wander through the world’s most amazing fashion archives and stories, and become inspired once again by all of its beauty.
