Estee Lauder brunch in Manhattan with the perfume creators! Launch of SENSUAL NUDE and omg, it smells amazing!

This past week was full of fun, fashion events here in New York. I’m officially party pooped! I’m normally such a homebody but if there is something going on for a brand I love or for a project I support, I always make sure to attend. Well, let’s start from the top. Coach hosted a cute, intimate event at their new Bleecker store to showcase their new “Chelsea” collection. I fell in love with the large leather satchels that ranged in color from a deep gray to the brightest of red. Instantly, I knew I wanted that gray handbag and now I cannot stop wearing it. It’s big enough to carry everything I need for a whole day out in the city, yet it’s still lightweight and doesn’t kill my shoulder! There, I got to meet so many NYC bloggers and made some really great friends whom I cannot wait to meet up with again. Next up? I got to see my gorgeous friend Denni who flew in from Paris to host the Macy’s Bar III event! I haven’t seen her since our photoshoot in Spain, and so it was wonderful to see her again. Boy, did we have a lot to catch up on. There we are at the event on a rooftop by the Hudson and over the juiciest burger at The Spotted Pig (YUM!) Last, but certainly not least, I got to meet the team over at Estee Lauder for brunch. There I am with the amazing perfume creators at the Sensual Nude perfume presentation. Thanks to them, I appreciate fragrance so much more. The new fragrance is super sexy and demure. Best part is catching light whiffs of it on me walking down the street. Talk about a pretty unforgettable week!!

Brooklyn Bridge Breeze

(Blue Bird blouse, EggCream skirt, Ax + Apple necklace, Velvetine bag, 80%20 heels)

Before heading out for an event in Greenwich, I walked outside and snapped these photos under the Brooklyn Bridge. The breeze from the water and the trains going by had an ethereal affect. Talk about major hair action! For my evening out, I went with one standout piece: this gorgeous EggCream skirt. I love supporting local NYC designers and right now, I’m obsessed with EggCream! They’re clothes are simple, but there are very cool cuts and lines, making it more a work of art. I love how this coral skirt has the perfectly hip hugging black pieces attached to it. It really is one of the most flattering, and unique, skirts I own. I paired it with a very simple sheer button down, my most comfortable heels, and classic black jewelry. In New York, I always make sure to tuck a pair of ballet flats in my purse for the walk home!! Photos by Kim of Eat Sleep Wear!

Stay Tuned: Rebecca Minkoff for Vogue Eyewear CFDA Sunglasses

This week I had the wonderful opportunity to work with one of my favorite New York City based designers, Rebecca Minkoff! Not only is she one of New York’s leading accessories designers and entrepreneurs, but she’s a soon to be mother and just a completely sweet and genuine person. We just shot a video together for the launch of the Rebecca Minkoff for Vogue Eyewear CFDA sunglasses that will be out this fall at Sunglass Hut! I hit the streets of New York with Rebecca (a very gorgeous and pregnant Rebecca hehe) and she showed me all of her favorite spots in lower Manhattan and of course, I got to wear the amazing shades as well. I’m super excited to represent the NYC girl for this Vogue Eyewear CFDA collection. They were inspired by the rock n roll history of The Bowery and they are so my style! I cannot wait to show the sunglasses to you! Stay tuned 🙂

Laguna Beach Playdate

(By Corpus jacket, Volcom swimsuit (bottoms are Posso x Volcom, Chan Luu bracelet, Milor Italy ring, Ax + Apple necklace)

I spent a lovely day at Laguna Beach with one of my favorite California girls, Raych of Thats Chic! It was one of the highlights of my weekend back home. We sat in traffic, using obscene language to scream out the window, blasted the radio, and let the windows down. We had typical California girl time by the water. I love letting loose with this girl! We frolicked along the sand and thanks to the gloomy light, snapped some beautiful photos. For this day out, I honestly did not feel like wearing clothes. The valley of LA was hot as hell! I left the house wearing my favorite super duper high waisted Posso x Volcom swimsuit bottom and a basic bandeau. Weather was insanely cool and crisp by the beach though and so I’m pretty happy to have brought this amazing By Corpus cargo jacket along for the ride. I had such a great time, I honestly didn’t care if I got sand glued to the inside of my bikini or if my entire jacket got wet! Of course Raych catches a totally epic snapshot of my butt when I’m bending down and purposefully splashes water in my face so that I laugh dorkishly as she takes a photo. WIDE SMILES WIDE SMILES. I miss her and her amazing energy! (Love you Raych!)
