POWER WITHIN ONE DROP

cover-fx-natalie-off-duty-4

Growing up as a model, I’ve come to realize that your skin needs that extra care, just like everything else in your life. And it glows when you take care of it. Like lathering on sunscreen even in the wintertime, replacing that wine glass with a bottle of water, or trading in daily nights on the dance floor with that extra hour or two of beauty sleep. But right now, I am all about this amazing product I have just added to my beauty routine to make up for times I’ve slipped on my beauty routine: Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops. Right now they have 4 different drops that target different skin issues: C+ Lemongrass for radiance, E+ Chamomile for calming, F+ Neroli for hydration, and what I’m using now, A+ Jasmine for Anti-Aging. Before and after getting on a flight, I leave my skin completely makeup free, and apply the Cover FX Infusion Drops. One drop is a powerful boost of essential vitamins and oils that can even be mixed with whatever cream or makeup you already use. I like to use it before applying sunscreen and a tab of concealer. I gravitate to these fresh scents, so it not only relaxes me before I start the day, or go to bed, but it smoothly seeps into my pores and leaves my skin with a glossy finish. I couldn’t think of a better winter skin saver at the moment. Something so powerful with just one little drop. Just what the doctor ordered.

FRESH FACE FAVORITES

Along with my everyday basics…there are those luxury make-up items that I’m always experimenting with. These, with their subtle shades, have suddenly become part of my everydays. Powder pink blushes and bronzers to beat winter pale skin. Shimmering shadows that sparkle lightly in all the right ways. This year I went from dark black cat-eye and va-va-voom red lips to sublty bronzed cheeks, and dare I say, LIP GLOSS. I forgot how amazing lip gloss makes your lips look. I’m all about a more feminine, light, and fresh look. My vampire days are long gone. I guess the more grown up you get, the less fuss you want. The less makeup, less products. Just what works, and what makes you glow. Then, there is the best cream to revive your face overnight to do it all over again. I’m constantly trying new products and makeup brands. There are are some I lean towards again and again….Stila, Dolce & Gabbana, Urban Decay, and Lancome. Of course, mixed with my everydays from the local drug store (CoverGirl & L’Oreal Paris). But take a peek at these new magicians in a bottle that have just arrived at my doorstep.

Dolce & Gabanna eye shadow and eye shadow cream. I like to use the brown cream first, then add shimmer over it. It lasts way longer for those nights out. Oh, and their nail varnish is out of this world.

Everything Lancôme Hydra Zen. I’m a sucker for all things pink. These beautiful bottles really hydrate and don’t irritate.

Stila Lip Vinyl: extra glossy in vibrant hues. Wear this with just a little bronzer and a swipe of mascara. Anymore and you’ll regret it.

Marc Jacobs primer: Newest primer I have tried. It’s light, and minimizes your pores.

Now keep on keeping fresh ladies.

BURBERRY KISSES

I am always on the prowl for the next best lipstick, and I’m already obsessed with the new Burberry Kisses. So pucker-up worthy! The Brit label never ceases to amaze me, especially in the beauty department. The collection of 28 shades is so effortless, easy, and totally kissable. Here, I’m wearing my 2 new favorite shades. Nude Pink No.05, for it’s natural, fresh look. So chic against the light grays, and whites of my wardrobe (hence this stunning fluffy Burberry coat!)  And you know how I love a good deep red! Oxblood No.97 is a must-have. It’s a deep red shade with a purple undertone that flatters literally every skin color. It’s the fact that they’re made to have buildable color that has drawn me to this collection. I’ve discovered that I can just lightly dab on the color for a stained lip look. The second swipe gives me a richer shade, and the last swipe gives full-on bold, LET’S PARTY color. It really does feel like second skin, and it’s all about lightweight layering. The lighter my makeup is, the better I feel.

Seconds to Showtime

This season was a bit different for me. There’s always that heavy show schedule, endless drama in the front row, and countless outfit changes. But this time, I had a lot more time backstage shooting. And sometimes being behind the lens, and behind the scenes feels so good. I love to switch up, and give you some unexpected surprises. I partnered up with the incredible Wella hair team, who flew in from London, to work on these two out-of-this-world shows with their brand new EIMI products. Jeremy Scott and DKNY. Both incredibly unique, yet still stunning. I loved watching the Wella team at work. They’re all about experimenting, and playing with standout style.

Can we talk about those hand painted bobs?! Who knew these shaggy wigs could look dreamy on just about any face. And with that heavy, bold lid. SWOON. I love color. This show was incredible to shoot. Quirky and just downright fun. Silver streaks here…a splash of neon green over there. It’s theatrical and over the top. Just what I like.

DKNY is classic. Always. And that’s what I love about the designer. Against the beautiful silhouettes, they went with something a little less perfect. A wispy, effortless look with a twist. A flattened top, with perfectly placed “fly-aways.” If only flyaways always looked this good.
