COACH COLLECTIVE: COACH X JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT

// Coach x Basquiat sweater and handbag //

Working with an iconic brand like Coach is a total dream come true. I have been working with the brand for years and I adore it’s heart, soul, and history, which is classic New York City. Welcome to the Coach Collective! I will be showcasing new collections as they launch, interpreted and styled in my own way. Introducing Coach x Jean-Michel Basquiat, a very special and iconic design collaboration. When I got the first sneak peek at this collection, what came to mind was “if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.” Both my bag and sweater feature elements from the renowned NYC artist. This collection reminds me why I moved to NYC in the first place. To simply take on the raw, chaotic energy and challenges that come with making a dream come true. The city fuels me. I proudly wear this Coach collection beneath the pounding sound of the Manhattan Bridge because it reminds me of how authentic and strong this city really is.

CELEBRATING AKRIS SPRING/SUMMER 2021

// Akris leather suit, top, and handbag + Reike Nen shoes //

Paris Fashion Week came and went, with most of us taking our front row seats in front of our computer screens from home. AKRIS launched their Spring/Summer 2021 show a bit differently this season. Rather than a runway show, AKRIS came out with a beautiful work of art, an exclusive film directed by award-winning director Anton Corbijn. Think neon lights, beautiful silhouettes, and pops of color. I love how creative designers are getting in showcasing their collections this year. To support, I threw on this totally luxurious Akris leather suit from the Fall 2020 runway. Gave it a red lip, and let the extra oversize and long pant leg fall over a good pair of loafers. Fitted on top. Slouchy at the bottom. Just the way I like it. The woven leather tote is a new addition to my closet. A timeless piece that is waiting to travel the world with me. Until next time, Paris.

FRYE FALL 2020 – THE CAMPAIGN SHOOT

// FRYE Fall 2020 ad campaign//

Photographed by Robert Nethery.

My FRYE Fall 2020 campaign just launched this week and I am super excited. You know how much I have worn my FRYE harness boots. Lived in completely from the deserts of California to the cobblestone streets of Brooklyn. It’s amazing to be their face this season. Shot close to home in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, we styled my favorite pairs of rugged boots with classic 90’s simplicity. Turtlenecks…boxy jackets…little to no makeup. It’s like grabbing your boyfriend’s clothing, giving your hair a shake, and leaving the house on a chilly NYC day. I love tucking in a slouchy jean into an ankle boot or pairing a tall boot with a high waisted legging and menswear shirt. Easy. I will take this beautiful vintage car around Brooklyn to play in the park any day of the week. I hope you love this very beautiful and candid campaign. I think you will love it even more because it is a project with integrity that is working on giving back to our communities.

For every Made in the USA boot purchased in the month of October, FRYE will donate $10 to Feeding America. Just $1 can provide enough food and groceries to provide 10 meals to those in need. Help us reach the goal of providing 3 million meals!

Thank you FRYE for always being an amazing partner with a purpose.

MILAN FASHION WEEK – SALVATORE FERRAGAMO

// Salvatore Ferragamo blazer, pant, handbag, and pumps //

I have been missing Europe a lot this year. Milan. Paris. London. It is amazing that fashion week can still go on, safely during a global pandemic! Normally I would be hopping from show to show…city to city. I can’t wait until we can safely join the hustle and bustle. Salvatore Ferragamo has given their international guests the front row treatment, but directly from home and virtually. Here I am in Los Angeles with oculus glasses on, complete with a full on Ferragamo Fall 2020 look. How amazing are the red pumps and new Viva bag? Fit for a queen. I have cherished my pairs of Ferragamo bow flats for as long as I can remember. There’s nothing more elegant and timeless. I’m happy to add these pieces to my collection.
