THE ART OF FEWER, BETTER | CUYANA

Okay, I have the bag that literally goes with everything: Cuyana’s classic shoulder bag. It’s every minimalist’s dream. Made in Italy of only the best materials, it’s a piece that looks elegant on a night on the town, or simply, biking through Brooklyn. Cuyana is a brand that I’ve been following for ages. They stand for integrity by only sourcing the highest quality materials from around the globe…each piece created by skilled craftsmen, spreading kindness along the way. They have increased the power of “fewer, better” where wardrobes are simplified with a sense of ease and confidence. This particular bag was inspired by the softness and strength of the everyday woman. It’s multidimensional, like it should always know they should be and were born to be. I’m at a time in my life where embracing the “fewer, better” mindset has really changed me for the better. I value closer, intimate friendships. I value being conscious of what I feed my body. I value making time for the little things that make my happy. I try not to overwork myself and start managing a hectic schedule in the most healthy way possible. That also factors in, shopping consciously and smarter along the way. I like knowing that each purchase has a little heart and soul. A story behind it. The brand has inspired now to go out and do something with a little integrity?! And look good while at it.

CUSTOMIZED EVERYTHING

Only now do I find a love for all things personalized. From the little “NLS” on my new Chloé bag and the NATALIE OFF DUTY embroidered onto the side of my fire red Marskinryyppy pumps. There are some days I want to go a little over the top. Perfect kitten heel pumps? Check. Statement earrings? Check. Handbag to die over? Check. With that, I always go with pops of red. Here I’m mixing in some of my key winter pieces. A deliciously soft cashmere Lie Sang Bong coat I picked up at their Meatpacking boutique and luxe leather trousers sent over by the lovely Marissa Webb. These gorgeous oversize earrings also special, handmade by my very good friend, Sabrina SL. She came over with her adorable newborn baby, Hazel, for a little improvised photoshoot in my home. We’re talking eating Caption Crunch and playing around in my kitchen as the camera flashed, baby on her hip! HerShe then surprised me with these luxurious, warrior-woman earrings and I haven’t stopped wearing them since. They are like a little work of art I get to take with me everywhere I go. My favorite pieces are the ones that remind me of the people I love, the places I’ve been, and the new friends I make along the way. This look comes full circle when it comes to bringing together people and designers I absolutely love and admire! I’m keeping it quick today as I have a million things to do before I head to the airport. Chat soon my loves.

THE SHINY SILK SKIRT

Taken on the streets of a very gold and glowing Milan, I love how easy it is to dress up a simple shirt and trainers (I still can’t stop wearing my custom Fendi sneakers. How cute are they?) Just add a little silk and pop of color and voila, done. I can’t wait for spring so I can whip out this beautiful pink bad boy again. It’s such a statement piece. I really do miss Milan and it’s beauty. I’ll be back soon enough. There’s still so much to see and go! For now, it’s really just a quiet Saturday at home in NYC. My suitcase is all packed up for London (I fly out this evening) and I’ve got a cup of coffee by my side. This is my favorite time of day. It’s so calm and refreshing and I finally have time to sit down and chat with you guys. While I’m away, I have a stunning new couch delivered to my home…my fashion month schedule will be solidified and organized, and I just can’t wait to power through one of the most hectic months of the year. Home is once again beginning to feel a lot more important and I love the idea of switching it around and making it feel new again. As I’m always in and out, I’m cherishing the quiet moments at home with my loved ones. May this crazy month feel like a breeze!
