GRAND MARNIER// A HOLIDAY RECIPE

(ShopGrl sweater, Wildfox Couture maxi skirt, Modern Vice booties, and Grand Marnier Signature Collection No. 2 Raspberry Peach Liquor)

Style Tip #1: For the holidays, I’m all about the extra shiny and flowing maxi skirt. It’s the easiest “grab on and go” piece just before a night party. I love taking my black beauty out on the town with a vibrant red sweater and of course, a great bootie and hat. It’s simple yet will stop anyone dead in their tracks. A real show stopper.
(EXPRESS white blazer, Lush Clothing sweater, AG Jeans silver jeans)

Style Tip #2: During the holidays, sometimes I just don’t want to wear anything too fussy. Just a great easy blazer, and of course, a killer jean. Trade in your blues for a silver metallic number. Slip them on, and it’s like second skin. Plus, the shimmer and shine will definitely get you in holiday party mode and will get you feeling like a rockstar. Even if you’re just at friend’s house, having a drink!
I spent some time creating my very one Grand Marnier Signature Collection No.2 HOLIDAY drink! And boy oh boy was it fun to create with this amazing French liquor!! I love flowers, thyme, orange, and blueberries. And what better than in a cute and home-ey Mason Jar! Here’s what you’ll need to create my very own Grand Marnier Holiday concotion!
RECIPE for the OFF DUTY KISS champagne cocktail:
1. Grand Marnier raspberry and peach LIQOUR
2. 1 bottle of chilled champange
3. bowl of blueberries
3. strawberry puree juice
4. 1 orange
First, drop in you blueberry’s! Pour 1/4 of your jar with champagne, another 1/4 of the liquor and 1/2 your jar with strawberry puree. Slice up an orange, and squeeze in a little bit, and leave a slice on the edge of your cup. For extra cuteness, stick in a few thymes into each jar! Enjoy!
Party Etiquette Advice: Never spill your drink on a friend’s dress!

WORK// PLAY// TRAVEL

Work has got me jetlagged and forever sleepy this past week. Flying to LA for a shoot down in Huntington Beach called for early morning calltimes, and soaking in the hot westcoast sun inbetween shooting breaks. Those misty mornings overlooking the mountains just make waking up 10x more brilliant! It felt so much like summer that I had to even change into a pair of short shorts on set while working for Spanish brand, Lavand over at the GrassMonkey outdoor studio! LA DONNA DE LA VIDA! Anyways, I’m finally learning to travel light. My floral hocus-pocus bag, a hat, and tiny leopard carry-on luggage to boot. Cuddled in my pink plaid coat, I realized my family’s LA home only get’s prettier with time. The yellow roses bigger and brighter…the sheets of my bed softer than ever. I can’t believe I’ll be back in LA in just a few more days! More work, and TURKEY TURKEY! Leaving on a snowday, NYC has been calling me to the Russian fur hats, extra long wool vests, and super heavy knits. Oh, but the parties never stop, rain or shine. Thank you for having me for the Moschino x Disaronno launch and EPIC, EPIC, EPIC Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (if only I wasn’t traveling!) Till Monday, it’s all about catching up on much needed ZZzZZ’s, seeing old pals, and gearing up for yet another WHIRLWIND NYC week!

W CONCEPT LOOKBOOK// OUT NOW

W Concept Fall/Winter ’13 Lookbook shot by Ryan Yoon

W Concept has literally been my latest obsession. When they asked me to model their latest lookbook, I jumped at the opportunity! I’ve followed their store long before our shoot, and I already knew that they carried just about every brand I’d ever wear. Just discovering now that they have storefronts all over the world, carrying everything from Saint Laurent to Current/Elliot to Free People! A timeless piece for every type girl. Here, we shot the Fall/Winter coat story. Super soft wools in every single shade, perfect to snuggle against during our chilly shoot down in DUMBO, Brooklyn. I could have taken all of these pieces home, next to the fuzzy sweaters and amazing hats. I like how with the smokey eye, the super straight hair and blunt bangs, it’s a bit of the more cleaned up version of my style. Put-together and oh, so effortless.
SHOP the lookbook here, and read my interview! I love you W Concept!

WIND BREAKER

(H&M A/W ’13 vest, TOPSHOP x NORDSTROM sweater, Pia Pouro trousers, VEESHOO leather sneakers, Jess Rizzuti handbag, Vanessa Mooney rings, Blackwater Moon gold ring)

I can already see the snow falling from my window…and it’s not even winter yet! The wind’s been howling all weekend, that I could almost feel it coming. My only wind breaker happened to be this H&M wool vest. So long and heavy-duty, it nearly hits the floor. A fuzzy lemon sweater and a good trouser really lit up my roof…with the flowers and leaves twirling all around me. But best of all? I’m addicted to the beat-up white leather sneaker. This travel shoe, made in Milan by the designer, Eduardo, of the brand, VEESHOO. They came as a little surprise from my lads at TWELV magazine, and honestly, I fell in love with these cushion-y badboys. I’ve got them now in two colors…to zip right off when I’m on the plane.

My next adventures? CALIFORNIA! I’ll be working this week in Huntington Beach, SURF CITY, on a very special shoot. Till then, follow my Instagram for updates. I’ve got a plane to catch on this snow day!
