Perfect Morning on Crosby

(d.RA top, Koshka pants, Mango boots, Coach bag, Ax + Apple necklace)

I’m currently in LA, sifting through all of my NYFW photos, and boy I did not realize how many photos we took! SO MANY. One of my favorite batches of photos are from this morning, spent with my favorite girls Christina, Dylana, and Bonnie at an early Lulu’s breakfast get-together at Soho’s Crosby Hotel. Even through all the madness between shows, we managed to get up early for a delicious all American breakfast of eggs, french toast, coffee, and lots and lots of BACON. I kept my look fairly simple. A really casual crop tee with some of the coolest cords ever. Yes, I am wearing CORDS. I don’t know when they came back in style, but I’m totally diggin them. And oh my, I’ve been on a purse craze. I think during all of fashion week I wore a different bag a day. Problem? I most certainly think so! But it’s been fun to say the least. Photos from the shows and events to come! For now, you can take a little sneak peek into my time at NYFW on VOLCOMUNITY! Speaking of which, I’m heading back to the Big Apple first thing in the morning. I always feel all weird when I leave LA, only because I’m never really sure when I’m coming back, and I always miss my family and home. But I had a great time here. I got to work with Lucky Magazine for their Tacori and Bloomingdale’s event in Century City (more deets to come!). It was a great event and a perfect excuse to to fly home. Sad to leave, yet a bit excited to get back in the New York groove.

An Evening with TOPSHOP

During NYFW, I spent an evening down in Soho to host the amazing TOPSHOP event! It’s always been one of those stores I HAVE to take my friends to. 3 stories high, and full of super hot clothes, it’s pretty amazing. With TOPSHOP, I got to make my top selects from the store and meet a lot of my readers who were in town for fashion week. Guests got to enjoy yummy treats, drinks, and get a bit pampers by the team over at Arrojo salon. Going through the store, I couldn’t stop looking at the new skinny jeans. The velvet floral skinny jean really caught my eye. Paired with a classic knit sweater, and I was good to go. Most importantly, I was really happy that my sister, Dylana, who was in town along with my favorite east coasters, Claire and Bonnie! It’s always a good time with these girls, especially on a a sugar high! The s’mores and the ginger mocktails were addicting. Many thanks to everyone who came out! So crazy to get to meet readers in person, but always a joy 🙂

Threadsence: Musical Muse

Photographed by Vu at Threadsence, Styled by Liz of Late Afternoon

I was given the wonderful opportunity to work with one of my favorite online shops, Threadsence. They have the most wonderful team and I feel lucky to have them as friends! Their lookbooks are always so dreamy and beautiful, and so when I heard they wanted to feature me as their “Musical Muse,”I couldn’t refuse. As most of you know, I’ve been singing my entire and life, and to have Threadsence want to show that side of me feels amazing. In their studio, we recorded 2 different songs. Right now, only part 1 of our acoustic session is out. Part 2 will be up next week! Along with our acoustic session, we did a very rock n’ roll based photoshoot! All styled by Liz of Late Afternoon, we portrayed 3 of my favorite musical artists: Courtney Love, Florence Welch, and Stevie Nicks. We went a little crazy towards the end of the shoot and smeared my lipstick and tousled my hair. I’m really digging the looks! Enjoy my singing performance, and check out Threadsence.com to see the entire lookbook!! And stay tuned for the second video! I LOVE YOU THREADSENCE.
