Hectic Week Snapshots

(Storets white blazer, Vintage coral blazer, Calista silk tank)

This week has been crazy! Here is just a post of random snapshots taken throughout the week. I’ve constantly been on the go… in between meetings, fittings, and shoots. Because I’ve been so busy, I’ve been leaning towards extreeemely simple looks. Blazers, silky tops, and skinny jeans. Clean, classic lines are my go-to look when there is barely any time to think about what to wear. I have been working on a few amazing projects this past week and I cannot wait to share some behind the scenes images with you! Stay tuned!! Not only have I been enjoying working with so many awesome people, I am LOVING the gorgeous weather we are having. It’s getting really warm and I’m stoked that the weekend is finally here. We are so spoiled here in southern California! Excited to jump into a small Spring dress and keep the coats at home! Just one more fitting tomorrow morning and then I’m free to enjoy my weekend, soaking in the sunshine! Have a great weekend everyone!

Browsing the Shelves

(Storets shearling jacket, MANGO jumper, Bally handbag)

On my days off over the weekend, I always make time to hit up the local bookstore. I catch up on the latest fashion magazines and browse the shelves of some of my favorite authors. I am currently in love with anything by Pulitzer winner, Jhumpa Lahiri, as well as Jodi Picoult, and Joyce Carol Oats. Their prose is absolutely fantastic and captivating. I tend to go through their books quickly because I can’t manage to put them down! Their use of words make it feel like you’re not even reading, but actually living the story.

For my casual day out shopping and reading, I slipped into a one piece jumper made by one of my favorite Spanish fashion labels, MANGO. It’s comfortable, but still chic. It was pretty chilly, so I layered on a shearling lined jacket. I try not to think twice about what I wear. I love just throwing together casual pieces for a perfectly laidback weekend look. (By the way, I never knew that taking photos inside a Barnes and Noble was a no-go! The security guard simply told me “no photos allowed in the building,” in a voice that lacked authority and kept eyeing me my entire stay. Can you say annoying? I swear I wasn’t doing anything illicit! Guess I will have to be a tad more discreet next time.)

An Evening in Relaxation

(J. Crew sweater, Vintage skirt courtesy of Stone Cold Vintage, Banana Republic boots, Delvaux shoulder bag)

These photos were snapped one evening on my front porch after a long day out. The sun was setting and perfectly created a mini glow around my head! As for my outfit, I played around with my boyish and girlish pieces. I paired this wool boyfriend sweater with a one of a kind pleated skirt from the vintage shop Stone Cold Vintage. They are my go-to vintage online store as they have the best designer vintage! I love the bold print of this skirt against a simple gray pullover. This combination brings Prada’s fall collection to mind. Thanks to them, I now see the librarian’s knee-length skirt as chic and sexy. Most girls would probably never wear something this “dated” out, but I love it’s uniqueness. Happy Monday everyone!

Youthful

Gahhh, I am so exhausted right now. I have spent the last few days shooting. I pretty much get up extremely early, drive to the shoot, come home after dark, only to get a few minutes on the computer before nearly passing out and starting over the next day. My stupid alarm didn’t even go off this morning, making for one crazy morning. Luckily, I was still on time to the shoot. My week was busy, but sooo much fun! Anyways, it’s Saturday night and I just want to be at home accompanied by a cup of tea and a book. I did want to share with you some images that I love. I’m sure you already know that I dig moody, sensual photos of the goodlooking. These show innocence and vulnerability. Currently on display: beautiful people being well…beautiful?
