In winter, it’s completely acceptable to do oversize everything. Tomboy city chic. Right now, I’m completing my every look with this new coat by Anonie. This emerging Brooklyn based designer brand has mastered the art of outerwear…revamping must-have classics like the 80’s shearling coat but giving them a cool new twist like here, with it’s gorgeous plum detailing and high-low hem. Anonie has made what was once a vintage, bohemian style a lot more clean, minimal, and all around effortless. I am also eyeing the extra luxurious Barracuda coat in bronze, made to be reversible so that you easily get 2 coats for the price of one. Pre-fashion week, im all about discovering emerging designers and curating my closet for the coming month of va-va-voom looks, with pieces that will last forever. Quality versus quantity and less is more is certainly something im embracing more this year. I am actually writing right now from the airplane to Los Angeles. Editing, catching up on emails, and finishing up the last pages of my new read, The Gratitude Diaries by Janice Kaplan, a story on how gratitude and little bits of thanks can change your life. I’ve been wanting to find more ways to be gracious more often towards my life and the good things about it, even when I feel too busy to think about these kind of things. I’m working harder on that. Inspired by the book, I’m trying to focus on the upside of every situation, like the shitty NYC weather. For example, rather than blaming the city for the super low temps and storm heading our way this week, I easily switch up my mood but focusing on why the cold can be a plus . . . more days snuggled up in this stellar Anonie coat. I’ll give any reason to keep it around me as long as I can!

I recently had dinner with Kenneth Cole and his team at one of my favorite spots off Bowery, The Smile. I love how much thought is put into his work… from his original writing to his attention to detail with each and every piece. Truly authentic and original. Continuing to dress NYC in head-to-toe black perfection. I fell hard for this gorgeous coat. It’s fully lined and probably one of the warmest pieces I own. Luscious. Luxurious. It’s seriously this coat against the brutal cold of NYC. You can trust this bad boy will be out again during NYFW. Maybe with a black turtleneck and jeans. Something so simple will genuinely stand out amongst the crazy colorful outfits and frozen toes in stilettos that will be stomping before street style photographers. Though it’s exciting and always a ton of fun for my sister and I, thinking about fashion month already gives me the chills. Brr! For now, I’ll be tucked away in my family’s house in LA gearing up for amazing 2017…fully re-vamped and energized. I’m ready to take you guys on another exciting adventure. It only gets better from here. I can’t tell how much I love you guys.

My mission this winter was to find the most perfect extra long coat…and I finally got my hands on it at Mackage. Oh, and it’s actually on sale right now babes. Incredible quality, stunning cut, and looks amazing over just about anything. Just thought I’d quickly fill you in before I’m off to Miami. This coat is going to have to wait to come out and play once I’m back in town with my new tan.

Olive Green | LAND’S END

With the sudden chill, I’m always on the lookout for amazing outerwear. I spotted this Land’s End quilted parka and thought it was so perfect. A necessity I must say! With it’s slim fit and adorable cinched waistbelt, it’s chic and extra flattering. Olive green, constistentlyb remaining one of my favorite hues for fall. I tied mine up with a classic striped shirt, my favorite blue flares, and extra high platforms. Classic, with my own 70’s twist. Parkas are back baby.
