Starting off the new year on a positive note is always so exciting. It’s a clean slate. A reminder to always live in the present, not the past nor future. Life always happens in unexpected ways, but that’s the beauty and excitement of it. Every single year, I learn something about myself. Whether it be my strength, my courage, or my wisdom. To ring in the new year, I partnered up with Express for a completely fresh take on the girl boss outfit. I’ve been through my whole past year wearing EXPRESS and my outfits resonate with so many amazing memories for me. This time, I wanted something extra classic and statement making. An oversized boyfriend jacket, a cut-out tank, and mid rise leggings in my lucky color red. What I love about Express’s latest collection is they have mastered clean, crisp, wearable pieces. Little pops of color always add to a really classic look. A clean slate doesn’t just mean what I’m wearing…it’s a new mindset. What do I want to self improve on? What motivates me at the moment? How do I wake up every single day feeling the best version of myself? This year I’m dedicating every single morning to have a crisp, clear positive mindset. It can simply be by doing a morning meditation, burning some incense, and planning out my week to some relaxing music. It’s dedicating one day a week to my older passions, like guitar and singing. It’s all these little things in my daily life that keep me grounded, focused, and inspired. There’s so much more to accomplish in 2017 that keeps me going. Working closely with my readers. Creating more videos. Exploring new places. Daring to be different. It only takes a little bit of extra attention and time to be a better sister, daughter, friend, and lover. It’s about being thoughtful with every decision I make. Sticking with my gut. Doing what always feels right. It’s about being completely honest with myself and those around me. Everyday is a new day to make some magic happen.

Thank you Express for partnering with me on this post.

It’s almost New Year’s Eve. I know it’s cliche to wear sparkles this time of the year, but it’s hard to not indulge in them. And when I say indulge, I mean really INDULGE. Go nuts. The whole shebang. This month I partnered with Express and I found everything to suits my fancy. A bold-shouldered all over sequined dress. The shining star of my night out with friends. An ode to the 80’s with the oversized shoulders. Glam gold earrings giving me all the reason to tuck my hair behind my ears. A velvet choker that wraps all around twice and touch of sparkle in my clutch reflects the disco ball at the same time. A glass of champagne in my hand the whole night through, because this is the one night that I like to go all out. The bubblier the better, just like the sparkles. Fishnet stockings because a dash of 90’s punk always seems to fit in situations like this.

I try not to get sad and nostalgic over having to say goodbye to 2016. It was truly an amazing year, full of surprises that made the year surpass all expectations of what a good year could be. For that reason, I want to go out with a bang, and ready for more fresh surprises in 2017. I’m ready for it, are you???

Thank you Express for partnering with me on this post.

A turtleneck this winter is a total must. Clearly I have been stocking up on the perfect neutral nubby knits in preps for the long, cold winter ahead which is why I partnered with Express this month. Express has some of the best cozy sweaters at the moment that were made for layering. This is the pullover I take when I’m going on my morning coffee run at Brooklyn Roasting Company. It’s what I throw on the moment I get home after the gym before cranking up the thermostat. It’s exactly what I slip on over my dress for a night out. Easy. Classic. Much needed. Hair tucked in, obviously. A touch of sparkle in my earrings peeking out…at all times. This month I’m spending a lot more time here in NYC before the holidays meaning I’ll be living in knits and perfectly woven hats every day of the week. NYC this time of year is stunning. It’s magical. It’s that time of year where all you want to do is stay in with your girlfriends and have pizza night or cuddle up on the couch with popcorn and a good film. I’ve still got a long checklist of things I want to do before the fall is over. Like finally taking that extra long walk through Central Park. Followed by sitting in front of a plate of perfectly runny eggs benedict and cup of joe. Oh so comforting.

Thank you Express for partnering with me on this post!

I haven’t had the chance to attend a bachelorette party, since none of my close friends have gotten married yet, but I absolutely love the idea! And since fall weddings are actually a big thing nowadays, it’s most likely that a bunch of you guys will be having bachelorette parties to go to soon. And I’m inspired by the idea. I’ll take any reason to dress up for a girls’ weekend out. Of course, I like to go the more unconventional route with most things when it comes to fashion. Instead of the typical short party dress, how about something longer, darker and more dramatic? This month, I teamed up with Express to create my night on the town look. This Express dress is exactly what I have in mind for my future bachelorette parties. And it feels more fall to me than the typical party dress. Sleek, simple and striking. If I have to depend on a dress to keep me feeling party ready, the dress must be these three things. There’s something special about going minimal and monochromatic. Most of the time, the case is that less is definitely more.
