I haven’t had the chance to attend a bachelorette party, since none of my close friends have gotten married yet, but I absolutely love the idea! And since fall weddings are actually a big thing nowadays, it’s most likely that a bunch of you guys will be having bachelorette parties to go to soon. And I’m inspired by the idea. I’ll take any reason to dress up for a girls’ weekend out. Of course, I like to go the more unconventional route with most things when it comes to fashion. Instead of the typical short party dress, how about something longer, darker and more dramatic? This month, I teamed up with Express to create my night on the town look. This Express dress is exactly what I have in mind for my future bachelorette parties. And it feels more fall to me than the typical party dress. Sleek, simple and striking. If I have to depend on a dress to keep me feeling party ready, the dress must be these three things. There’s something special about going minimal and monochromatic. Most of the time, the case is that less is definitely more.

It’s the holiday season, and there are already one too many invites and parties lined up to even have time to shop. That means you’ll find me on The Real Real, a luxury online consignment shop that buys and sells quality, mint condition items. So far I’ve already got a beautiful pink Lanvin cocktail dress, a laced satin Marc Jacobs number, and this psychadelic beauty by my idol, Anna Sui at KILLER prices. Sometimes I feel it’s even better to purchase something of quality at consignment. Something that’s been worn maybe only once before, and is just a down right awesome, statement piece you never need to get rid of. I live for The Real Real and counting down the minutes and filling up my Cart before hitting CHECK OUT at the last second. It’s exciting when you get a really great deal.

The Real Real has made it easy for me to find these beautiful statement party dresses, but the struggle always comes when you’re running late, your car is downstairs, and you just need something to go with it, and make it a lot more wearable…because NYC IS SO SO COLD. I’ve managed to take the dress I’ve worn to a party the night before, and make it the perfect Saturday brunch look with just the right accessories. I’m talking whipping out your Jenny From the Block hoop earrings, cashmere beanie, and 2 layers of extra long coats. Trade in those stilettos for a chunky block heel. Now you got 2 rad, different looks for the price of one. AND you just made what was once somebody’s elses last season, every season.

You can count on finding a killer, dramatic, and extra edgy dress on Luisaviaroma. The holidays are just around the corner and I am stocking up on party dresses. But of course, not your average. I’m talking fun proportions, boots made for walking, and lots of black. My plans for the holidays are totally up in the air right now. Shall I have a Venice Beach Christmas on the patio? A friendsgiving? Or hop on the next plane to a city I’ve never been? Who knows. All I know is that I’ve got my wardrobe ready and set. This dress’s shadow play in the sun is purely genius. Now let’s just figure out the home cooking and wine list.

Sparkle Soirée

There is something so elegant about this dress. Its simplicity. It’s long and lean. But what really attracted to me to this Lauren Ralph Lauren gown is the way it shimmers against the NYC lights. I spotted this beauty online at Nordstrom. Right now, their party dresses for the holidays are extra sleek and sophisticated. There’s a dress for any occasion. I could see myself in this for the next city holiday soirée…or meeting the parents. It’s all about keeping things classy ladies. Top off your easy look with a stack of cuffs and a ruby red lip, but keep things fun with a toss of messy locks and some sexy stilettos. It’s such a treat to get dressed up for something special. So when I get the chance to, I go all out.
