Yep, yep, the “Natalie Suarez x Volcom” skirt is already making it’s rounds on magazine stands (gahhh, it’s still so weird for me so say that!) This deep orange beauty hits stores this June, worldwide (!!!) and I can’t hardly wait! For now, take a little peek inside the latest NYLON May ’12 issue and read my full-page story. The feature kind of gives you a little sneak peek into how my Volcom Fall ’12 collection came about and why rock n’ roll just happens to be a huge part of it. My life’s been a bit nuts recently and I think everyday I start to dress a little bit more weird. I paired my skirt with a polka dot crop top, a multi-colored leather jacket, baby clogs, and a gorgeous ivory handbag by friend/designer, Emily Cho! Not only am I designing for Volcom and currently coming up with some sweet plans for Volcom for all of 2013, I’ve got another killer design project up my sleeves. More on that later…but somehow all this stuff is just more fun than anything I’ve ever done. It’s a lot more work, but I totally dig it 🙂

It’s been so hot this weekend that I’ve been downing water like crazy to keep hydrated. It’s just another weekend visiting the sis and of course, it’s full of good times. After a wild night out rock n’ rolling with our favorite bands (hi M83, we love you!) we thought it’d be the perfect time to spend the day walking miles from Fishtown to Center City and oh boy, I think my legs were just about to fall off. Thank goodness for the beautiful parks just around every corner. Sometimes you just need to plop yourself down on the grass. And of course, what’s a picnic without a quick stop at McDonald’s? Yep, us girls know how to grub…hard. I’m just glad the sis and I are finally together to kind of digest what’s been going on in our lives. Our surprise projects are coming closer and closer to a release date and it’s going to be pretty rad, if I do say so myself. Lying on the grass with your eyes closed may be the best way to brainstorm! 

This always happens. You’ll find me stooped in Soho, blocking someone’s doorway. It’s easy, especially when I’m hidden behind these killer Bon Look grey sunnies! But it’s the weekend and I’m out of NYC for just a few days. Currently blasting music in Dylana’s living room and brewing coffee. When it comes to lazy weekends, I can live in Chaser Brand rock tees, Vanessa Mooney embellished chokers, and this awesome printed Hudson jean. I wear them so much my legs may as well be snakeskin.
