 Work’s been a bit crazy (I’ll fill you in on what I’m working on soon!) and so I’m slowly hitting rewind and flipping through the images on my computer, recollecting moments. Honestly, so much happens in one week here in NYC that I’m kind of glad I always have my camera at hand. These little snaps were taken by a friend as we helplessly roamed Central Park in search of the big kid swings (no such luck). Anyways, I did attempt to dress playground appropriate in a pair of simple, flared pants. Dylana bought them for me at the Free People sample sale and I’m obsessed. Plus, it’s the exact same print as the cover image from the catalog I shot back in October ’10. Has it really been almost 2 years? My love for the brand grows more and more each day. I threw on some leopard sandals and a denim jacket to keep my bum grass-stain free. Worked like a charm.

Once my little Brits left, one of my very good friends from sunny California made a quick stop in my crazy city as she headed home from Cannes. It’s hard to get a decent amount of sleep when you’re constantly running around, soaking in all the city has to offer. Our way of relaxing was sitting out on my fire escape, in true New York style. I can be out there all day if time allows it! Early mornings were spent flipping through my wardrobe, putting my pals in my clothes, before heading out in the hustle and bustle. Let’s just say I, in particular, couldn’t stay away from band tees, full-on printed pant suits,  and flowing maxi skirts. I already miss all my little visitors…sometimes you just need a bit of home to remind you to keep things real. I’ve got a crazy busy work week coming up and so flipping through these images reminds me why I love this city that never sleeps.
