SAN FRANCISCO DREAMING

(Original Penguin sunglasses, VEDA leather jacket, UNIF shirt (similar), REISS trousers, Kate Spade Saturday handbag, Modern Vice boots)
I’ve been traveling so much for work recently. NYC to SAN FRANCISCO to TEXAS…next stop? LA! I’ve still got loads to show you. Here, I’m snapped in TOO STUNNING FOR WORDS, San Francisco, just after a long day of shooting (more on that soon!) and my off duty essential happens to this VEDA leather jacket. It’s the perfect amount of boxy and pebbled leather. Rock n’ roll to the MAX! A tee, a good trouser, and perfect patent black boot is all I need in my carry-on. Anyways, San Francisco always warms my heart. It’s such a romantic and beautiful city. Driving up and down the slopey streets, I can’t help but poke my head out the window and stare at the candy coloured townhomes, lined up like the rainbow. To have a break from the NYC winter was just what I needed. After a shoot, I’m always back in my hotel, throwing on the nearest tank and tossing my hair in a loose low bun. Before the sun went down over the bay, I took a stroll thorugh downtown. I had my parents crash in my hotel. I mean, the room was literally a suite and could fit about 10, but it was fun having a slumber party with my MUM and getting ready with her before a day of work! I spent my off days adventuring with the parentals….complete with sleepy drives down the coast, and fish and chips along the boardwalk. Soaking in one of our favorite cities.

LONDON// COLOUR IN THE RAIN

(VEDA leather jacket, Elizabeth & James sunglasses, Wildfox Couture gingham sweater, Free People skirt, H&M vest, Zara scarf, Hugo Boss handbag, Modern Vice boots)
With the London rain, the city had me holding onto the hem of my skirt for dear life! The colour of my hair, fresh off my L’oreal Paris shoot, so vibrant against the dreary sky. I left my hotel in Covent Garden extra early this day…making it just on time to Notting Hill for brunch at the Electric Diner. Avocado on toast please! With the craziness of NYFW and landing straight in London for LFW after a red-eye flight, all I wanted to do was take a chill day. Forget the heels and oversize camel coats slung over one’s shoulders (they were literally everywhere, I couldn’t look anymore!), I opted for my go-to travel boots, and loads of plaid and touch of gingham. It wasn’t until I stepped outside did my friend notice, “you packed a lot of plaid!” Yep, and I love to mix them, so long as I don’t match! Leather jacket, extra long vest, and round sunnies….I didn’t pack much else. But that’s what I love. I’m slowly becoming a minimal packer, with a much more simplified closet. Only keeping the good stuff. Like this VEDA leather jacket.
My days in London lasted long, and I covered as much ground as physically possible! This city may be even more beautiful at night, after a good rain. In the mornings, I’d wake up before everyone else, and grab a coffee down the road just as the shop opened, just to take a little walk on my own before a long day. As a model, I feel I’m so used to traveling alone, it’s kind of part of the job, and luckily, my friends in London always keep things super exciting for me. Never ever a dull moment. From the late night gigs in Shoreditch to London’s Brick Lane (always the best fish n’ chips in town!) Though by the end of my trip, I couldn’t keep my eyes open!! I can’t wait till next time London, when I can visit my beautiful Brits again!

A QUIET ESCAPE// CABIN STRIPES

(W Concept striped top, Citizens of Humanity overalls, Free People Manitobah moccassins)
Our cabin adventures over the holidays felt like eternity. We watched countless movies. The fireplace and a bottle of La Gavulin our best friend. I can still smell those fresh cookies waiting outside our door each morning with the fresh coffee. “On the road to Lake Placid”…the song goes on and on in my head. Watching the snowflakes fall onto tree branches like powder, I kept cozy by by our living room window in a striped Saint James shirt, the softest overalls I own, and of course, these extra beautiful storyboot moccassins. Classic weekend attire, photographed by my boyfriend, Jordan. With work and everything else, this year for me has already been non-stop. Already preparing to jump on yet another flight to San Francisco early this Monday. I cannot wait for another long and sleepy roadtrip to the mountains. Always my favorite way to quietly escape.

LONDON CALLING// NOKIA LFW

(VEDA leather jacket, W Concept hat, Motel Rocks turtleneck, Cameo overalls dress, Hugo Boss handbag, “Natalie + Dylana Suarez x MODERN VICE” Free People JETT boots)

I can’t even begin to tell you have much I love London. The people, the killer style, the music, the old charm. I arrived to loads of rain, had about 10 minutes to check into my Covent Garden hotel…and immediately was whisked away by car to the first show. With the rain, I was tucked in the backseat, snapping photos of the scene en route to the Fyodor Gollan show with Nokia. Jetlagged of course. I just had my L’oreal Paris shoot back in NYC before hopping on my red-eye and so I’ve been sporting my brand new hair colour…a red ombre. Subtlely bright, yet still oh, so perfect for London! You won’t believe how many different hair colours I spotted around town. Pretty wicked.
Anyways, my first stop was Fyodor Gollan…where the two designers created one of the world’s first interactive dress! The skirt, pleated with large screened Nokia Lumia 1020 and 1520 phones. Talk about absolutely stunning…the light illuminating off the dress! Such an insane way to start off my London Fashion Week! From there, we made our way to the PINK runway show. The leather baseball caps, shimmer, and electic midi skirts blowing my mind. I would do a bright pink lip and little round sunglasses any day of the week. A long weekend in London was so much needed. Visiting old, and new friends, all while exploring this beautiful city from Brick Lane to colorful Notting Hill. Luckily for the cloudless skies Saturday and Sunday, I left squinting in the English sun, never wanting to leave.
So much more to share from London Fashion Week!
