HUDSON JEANS // THE PERFECT PAIR

HUDSON JEANS // THE PERFECT PAIR photographed by Dylana Suarez
LOOK 1: This may be my absolute favorite look of all. Shot in the grittiness of the shoe factory, it’s been a main part of my workspace this past year…in creating the JETT collection and variety of styles that came with it. The energy there is so fantastic!! I decided to just shimmy my way into the Hudson“Sid Zipper Crop” jean paired with the blue snake boot. With just a navy blue cap and military vest, I couldn’t help but keep it as simple as that. Bare belly and all!
LOOK 2: Right when I get home, I like to slip into a sweatpant…but these are so good, and made for wearing out. I like them with a heeled bootie and a red baseball jacket. The heels give this sporty look a bit more edge.
LOOK 3: Rock n’ Roll, Hendrix! All I want is to go to Woodstock when I’m hidden behind these oversize round shades. Paired with a shimmering metallic feathered jacket and the comfiest moto jeans known to man, I could spend the whole night dancing. The white boot is a new favorite for me this year. It’s sleek enough to wear out to a party, yet wearable enough for a day working in the factory.

READY TO CAMP

(Camp Collection jumpsuit, Paul & Joe Paris coat (similar), Matt Bernson booties, Vintage Chanel backpack, Karen London necklace (similar), Ugg Australia shearling cap and fingerless gloves)
I am head-over-heels obsessed with my gal pal’s new line, Camp Collection! You may already know Tamar Wilder from her badass Texan inspired jewelry line, The 2 Bandits, and yep, babe makes amazing clothing too! Though it’s right smack dab in the middle of winter here in New York City, I HAD TO take take my plaid new jumpsuit for a spin. And erm, 2 days in a row as a matter of fact! Her whole collection brings back the nostaligia that comes with memories of childhood camping trips. The plaids, the perfect cargo greens, and belly baring crop tops. Her “Mailer overalls” are another instant must-have. I made my jumpsuit winter friendly with a vintage laced top, navy coat, and perfect HUNTER CAP. I’m ready to snuggle by a camp-site firepit right about now. I can’t wait to take this piece through fashion week and barebackec into Spring, minus fingerless shearling gloves! Bring it on baby.

TONGUE OUT OPTIONAL

(UNIF “Die Poser” sweater and “Lore” hat, Stolen Girlfriends Club neoprene jacket, 7 For All Mankind shiny jeans, VANS SK8-HI sneakers, Alfie Douglas UK handbag)

There is honestly so, so, SO much I love about this UNIF sweater. DIE POSER. So good. Just what I want to wear when I’m walking around the crowded streets of NYC and everyone thinks they’re the coolest thing on the planet. “Hipster” and “Chic” being key words around town. All you’ve got to do is stand dead-on…spread your arms with “Die” written on my chest (tongue out optional), then walk away…”Poser” drawn down your back. I love a good cheeky sweater arriving just before nut-so fashion week to keep me sane. Plus, it’s so darn cute, I wear it with everything. Here, I took it out with the equally badass UNIF “Lore” hat and the most amazing feeling jeans known to man. A little shine for a rainy day. Plaid, black skinnies, and of course a classic VANS sneaker is all I need on a busy work week. NYC is SO cold that I’ve been literally dreaming of treehouses, Malaysia, and summer all night…dreading having to layer on an itchy wool coat the next day struggling to keep warm. All I really feel like doing, is curl up under a down blanket in the middle of the week. A girl can dream.

OLD SCHOOL BABY

(RVCA cardigan (on sale HERE), Dolce Vita blouse, W Concept skirt, Camper boots, Elizabeth & James cuff, Cuyana scarf, Alfie Douglas UK handbag)
There’s nothing like the combination of a long duster cardigan over a super full flouncy skirt. It reminds me of Molly Ringwald…my old school silverscreen stars. Casual elegance, but oh so schoolgirl cooooool. Rich browns, delicate white lace, and a good maroon leather skirt. With the weekends, I trade in my oversize shoulder bags for the little drawstring bag sent straight from cloudy London. Lately, I’ve been swamped with work and see myself grabbing this skirt anyday of the week. It’s the perfect winter piece, when I’ve got my skinny jeans are in the wash. Here in NY, we’ve all be hustling about in the rain and snow…doing as much indoors as we can to bundle before heading outside in the freezing cold. I feel like we’re in Alaska or something…but we sure didn’t prepare for the winter! Suddenly Uber is my new best friend and I’ve been losing beanies and scarves in the car per ride. Why thank you New York!
