A POP OF PINK IN LA CONDESA | Mexico City

My grandfather is from Mexico City and I’ve always dreamt of finally visiting and being in touch with my father’s culture. This is a large city with so much history and of course, so many people! I have never walked so much in my entire life. Flat leather sandals were my best friend this trip. Traveling a city by foot is truly special. I stopped at just about every candy colored wall and snacked at just about every single taco stand when I had the chance. My tastebuds were going wild for everything sweet and spicy. A friend did recommend taking a quick break for a cool drink at Hotel Condesa DF. This adorable boutique hotel felt a lot more like a sunny hot spot off Sunset Blvd in Hollywood more than anywhere else. Think teal green walls and cow-printed seats. My love for spaces and architecture and interior design is growing the more I travel. I’m currently craving the hotel’s green lush covered walls complete with a beautiful sun roof. A girl can dream. La Condesa is one of the most fashionable and beautiful neighborhoods of the city. I went with dramatically bold colors and silhouettes. Even with the heat, it’s possible. Voluminous sleeves and a skirt with loads of movement is always the way to go. I think Mexico City doesn’t get the credit it deserves. It’s history and culture and love for food and music transcends so many places I’ve been to.

I’m so happy that you could see our culture (i’m mexican) and that you loved it. There are lots of things and places that you could explore in Mexico and many people aren’t aware of. Hope you come back soon 🙂
