CHRISTMAS PAST

(10 Crosby by Derek Lam dress, Joe’s Jeans brocade coat and lace top, BC Footwear shoes, W Concept hat)
The arctic cold has been coming closer and closer and with it comes extra long knit sweater dresses, black on black, and furry hats! I do in a way miss the holidays…the rows of Christmas trees covered in snowflakes and all of the twinkling lights…but I’m actually okay with things being completely back to normal. I feel more focused and so in the swing of things…the never ending excitement and work after a long break. This is one of my favorite looks from the holidaze. A brocade coat, a little bit of Victorian lace peeking out from under my dress, and of course…the black and white creepers. The best for an intense snow day. Shot just before we took off for our cabin, and just before I surprised my boyfriend with our own cute mini Christmas tree! Ours still happens to be sitting pretty just by our couch, the mistletoe still hanging, the tinsel forever glowing. Everyday I say “today we have to take our tree down!” And still, I can’t. Jordan always says…”let’s do it tomorrow.” He can’t bear to let go of the little thing, and all the good memories that comes with Christmas past…

LOOPTY LOOP

(Cardigan New York sweater, GANT sunglasses, J Brand jeans, Mania Mania choker, Worth & Worth plaid hat, “Natalie + Dylana Suarez x Modern Vice” FREE PEOPLE “Arianna” JETT boot)

This whole week has felt like a weekend, and I’m pretty content with these sleepy city streets. I’m finally recovered from what’s been an absolute KILLER New Year’s Eve! We’re talking karaoke, champagne, and “laugh till you cry” cell photos of your friends passed out on the floor with their knickers out. Epic.

Anyways, I’m kicking off the new year in the comfiest way possible. The cold has me reaching to the WAY WAY top of my wardrobe, where I store my heaviest knits, when getting dressed. Keeping my ladder close by! All I really need nowadays is a super huge loopy sweater, some good jeans, and of course, a boot. Take a look-see at these badboys! I’m so so, over-the-top, in LOVE with our brand new Modern Vice x Free People “Arianna” JETT boot!! Silver eyelet studds just on the toe, and extra distressed black nubuk leather. A new go-to that I now keep at the very top of my shoe rack!! Black, white, PLAID…just one of the best combinations when it comes to being super simple. Shot by my boyfriend on what was one of the most beautiful days we’ve had since I got back from holiday, all I felt like doing was watch the kids play ball and hit up the local diner.

HERE’S TO A NEW YEAR// 2014!

Wow, 2013 was honestly the most beautiful years for me. So many changes, so many ways I’ve grown…and all for the better. I feel stronger than ever, and that’s because of you guys. Thank you thank you for supporting me through all of my crazy adventures, and inspiring me to keep going and going and going, because you know what…the sky really is the limit. Thank you for inspiring me to keep creating (whether it be a song or a shoe) and adventuring (from London to Morocco to Paris!) and most of all, you’ve inpsired me to keep loving…savoring even the littlest things that happen in life. I’m excited to take on another year pouring my heart and my soul in everything I do. Just looking back at these photos makes me happy. They’re some of my favorite snapshots from this year. All shot in different parts of the world, each telling a little story. And OMG, all the clothing. 2013 was a year of daring style for me. I have so so many items of clothes that holds such close memories to me. I don’t know how I’ll ever clean up my closet. I like being able to go back, hold up a dress, and remember exactly what happened when I was wearing it. That pair of boots that I spent the night dancing in. Each morning I was excited to get dressed to take on a busy day, just live in the moment, and be able to share all the little things I love with you. I feel lucky to have had such a colorful year…full of excitement and travel and beautiful people. I love each and everyone of you and WOOT, I can’t wait for another year to grow, explore new parts of my career, and share my tale with you. Happy New Year everyone! Bring it on 2014!
