Montauk Diaries

The Pennyblack magalog finally arrived from Italy!!! This week I’ve been getting so many copies from my work in print and it feels amazing. All that work really does pay off. Pennyblack, being MaxMara’s younger label, was absolutely killer to work with. The Italian accents, late night dinners on the beach, oh and of course, getting to shoot right on the water. Talk about brilliant! Just the adventure during our shooting was too incredibly dreamy. The simple pieces, in bold prints, were made to mix, match, and just throw together. Easy, effortless, and oh, so European chic. So here it is, the final final images, and well as a few of my favorite outtakes, all shot by my dear friend, Kelsea Kosko. Currently dreaming of my next island adventure! Take me back to the bohemian land of Montauk pleeease!

Kelsea Kosko’s photos of you are fabulous. I hope you will take good care of yourself – you’re looking a bit on the thin side, though still pretty. Congratulations on your spread in the Pennyblack magalog! I hope you will be back out to the East End of Long Island this Spring and Summer. There are many pretty places I’m sure you’d love visiting once everything has turned green and all the flowers are blooming. Its a seasonal area so it will still be fairly quiet in early May, but after Memorial Day it will get more and more crowded with tourists as the summer arrives. I love nature and the temperatures in the Spring, but there’s more to do and see in the Summer.

If amazingly gorgeous effortlessly cool bohemian gorgeousness were to be personified, I think its name would be spelled N-A-T-A-L-I-E!
Maybe that didn’t make sense. In any case, what i was trying to say is that Natalie, you are a goddess!

I really and truly wish that through osmosis, I could somehow acquire some of the style that you exude with every single fiber of your being. Those bangs, that perfectly mussed hair, the tomboy chic as well as the understatedly feminine. Every single one of your looks is an absolute inspiration is a delight to behold.
These photos for Pennyblack have to be amongst my favorite photos of yours. For starters, those shoes! The extreme strappiness of those black sandals as well as the metallic heels and those simple black platforms is just too much. Add to that some mile long legs, stunning scenery, gorgeous clothes, and YOU and badabing badaboom. It’s magic.

Don’t even get me started on every little detail of these photos. There’s just so much pretty happiness and lush greenery and everything is just so beautiful as to make me cry.

    Wonderful. Absolutely positively wonderful.

How exciting to have something so lovely in print. It’s weird to think of looking back at that stuff when you’re in your 60s or something, but you know you will!

You should take a look at my blog if you have a chance! I’ve done a lot of thrifting lately, I’m obsessed with girly dresses, floral crowns, and anything with a heart on it. Plus I have a giveaway on now!
