To See Stars

(Romwe blouse, Citizens of Humanity floral shorts, Liebeskind Berlin bag, A.P.C coat, Dolce Vita “Imogen” loafers)

I can’t even begin to describe how beautiful the city has become in just the last two days. Everything is blooming, the sun is out, and I couldn’t be happier. I ended a busy day out and about by the east river, at one of the most beautiful parks I’ve ever seen (next to Central Park of course!) This local park, a short walk from my apartment, seemed so magical at that particular moment. My good friend Bonnie was the one who called me and said “I have to, have to take you to this place..it’s unreal!” We had a quick bite of pizza, and snapped these shots just as we were losing light. Those late evening shots are sometimes my favorite. Everything about New York is just so dreamy during Spring. Just another reason I went with a starry blouse and some pretty pastel floral cut-offs. The blouse/high-waisted shorts combo will forever be one of my favorite looks! The playful prints that have been taking over my wardrobe really brighten everything else up. New York, I love you.

Slouched

(Very.com “Love Label” kimono, Stylestalker tee, Rugby by Ralph Lauren boyfriend jeans and belt, Timo Weiland for TSBUO shoes, Tommy Ton for Club Monaco handbag)

There’s another wardrobe staple I can easily slip into before bed and even right before stepping out the door, and that’s this beautiful kimono from Very.com’s “Love Label.” This limited edition online collection from the UK links back to the British invasion of ANTM, and let’s just say it’s totally “model off duty” appropriate (plus, I’m always for some London love!) I’m obsessed with this thing. Somehow it dresses up even the slouchiest of ripped tees and boyfriend jeans. My look was complete with a little work of art on my feet! These Timo Weiland for TSUBO shoes are total swoon-worthy and should be showcased in a glass box in my apartment. They’re that pretty! This little mix of images that I’ve snapped make up the little things that take up my slouchy, lazy days. Grapes, coffee, and views off the balcony of my apartment..along with of course, my favorite shots ever: images of Dylana when she’s not looking. I’m currently enjoying these little things before this month gets completely insane with travels, music festivals, and of course lots of awesome clothes. Get ready!

In the Morning

(Elle and the Sea crochet dress, Jewelmint/Lowluv/Mango rings)

I’m a total sucker for those gloomy NYC weekend mornings, when it’s just about to rain. The smell of my coffee machine mixed with rain makes me gahhh, so happy. But most of all, I love waking up to the lovely mom and sister! Having family in town can sometimes be a total disaster, but we’ve been enjoying each others company more and more now that we don’t see each other as often. We made eggs for breakfast and lazed around my place, before walking to Central Park. Sunday’s can’t get any better, no? Before heading out, Dylana snapped these photos of me by my bed. I was wearing nothing but one super cute, black crocheted number. I love how this piece can be dark and edgy one minute, and totally Spring appropriate the next. And TA-DAAAAA, my apartment is slowly coming together! I’m personalizing it daily…coming across with old Polaroids and cards that make me crack up every time I look at them. That’s of course before I go a little crazy with the double stick tape and start pinning things to the brick wall. I’m looking to get some of my antique paintings up soon! Slowly but surely!

Muted

(Ainsley black dress, Calico coat, Liebeskind Berlin bag, Mango blue stone ring, Ax + Apple necklace, Joie boots)

It’s been getting more and more chilly, but I’m loving it…especially now that my apartment has become so cozy! Right now, I’ve been having my mom in town, and now my sister has joined in on the fun! I love having them stay with me. It’s like I never left home. Plus, they have been helping me keep my place super organized. I covet the pieces I’m wearing here as if they were my babies. This long, lean Ainsley dress got me hooked the moment I tried it on. I love the classic neckline with the pretty open back. It’s easy when you have a boy-like body like mine…no bra necessary hehe! Dressed down with a pair of leather boots and a fur coat, I made way for a night out on the town, attending events (oh and bringing my mom along). Sometimes I think the crazy woman’s a lot like me!
