Nordic Chic: Hosting the ECCO Event!

I got to revisit a little bit of Scandinavia…yet in the heart of NYC! I just hosted the ECCO shoes event and it was the perfect way to gather all my friends and kind of bring them back to my ECCO trip in Europe. Glimpses of footage from the trip were lying around every where: images of the team and I trekking through Amsterdam, heading out into the snowy countryside to visit their tannery, and even hilarious video footage of our last-minute flight to Copenhagen for their Walk in Style runway show.  Basically, we celebrated Scandinavian style with hearty beers, too much food, and of course, there I was bouncing around the building in the “Sculptured 65” boot, which are basically a black patent ankle boot that can easily double as running shoes (they’re that comffffyyy). I’ll show you more soon, they are out this Fall! Always, always, I’ll be a huge fan of simple Scandinavian design!

Dusk till Dawn

(Chaser Brand leather jacket and tee, David Kahn jeans, Alimonada skull bracelets, Shoemint leopard sandals)
Friday, you roll around quicker than expected week by week. Everyday for me has been go, go, go and I can’t wait to finally sit back and do absolutely nothing…or absolutely everything this weekend. I don’t even know how I’m alive right now! Late nights and early mornings have been taking over my life. Thank goodness for coffee… but darn, I’ve come to realize I’m completely out of milk and creamer. Grocery shopping has been on my long to-do list for ages! It’s about time I get some things organized…the big sis is coming to town and lord knows this weekend will be crazy. We’ve got some killer shows to see and of course insanely sick projects in the works. I just can’t wait to see her, especially since Coachella madness is over and we can finally act like normal people. For now, all you need to know is that life currently revolves around Chaser Brand’s rock n’ roll tees, and their brand spankin’ new moto leather jacket. Funny, they’re really all I need to feel happy right now.

Which Way to Heaven

Gray skies…go away? Peeps of sunshine, please come back! It’s been hard getting dressed for this bipolar weather. I peek outside, everyone is wearing puffers, and I actually go out…and it’s hot enough to just wear a tee-shirt. I never fail to dress inappropriately. But this day, I think I did something right. Giant furry coat on hand, I managed to survive the chill in a sick pair of printed Custo Barcelona pants. I’m getting back in the 70’s spirit and I want to wear these every single day. Pretty beaded jewels by Vanessa Mooney also scream the free-spirited 70’s, a time I wish I lived through. Her skull rosary is just another way to praise the lord.

Roller Derby

As a kid, I was OBSESSED with skating. I’m pretty sure I had similar ones, just of course, not as rad. All I remember is clinging to my mom’s arm in Santa Monica, hoping to not fall on my bum. But now, these bad boys have just joined my closet and I can literally stare at them all day. They were made custom-made just for me by my good friends Jordan and Jensen over at Modern Vice! Fit perfectly to my foot, these Modern Vice x Klingbeil roller skates are insane! They just ooze roller derby cool and I’m pretty sure I’d kick anyone’s ass in these in the rink hehe. The leather is beyond superb and the red-hot shade reminds me of a spider…or something equally badass. I can’t wait to take them for a spin down the Venice boardwalk with some rock n’ roll skinny jeans, a leather jacket, and some messy beach hair. Doesn’t get any better. Or maybe a silent roller disco?! There are countless things I want to do in these and I can’t wait! If you see some string bean rolling down Central Park uncontrollably, it may just be me. Anyways, this killer skate was made right here in the heart of NYC, and there was definitely a lot of work that went into each and every detail! My name engraved in the skates make them all the more special. Modern Vice, you rock my world.
