Snuggled Up

(Paul & Joe sweater, Citizens of Humanity jeans, Dr. Marten boots, Moni Moni handbag)
Now that I’m in Morocco for the week, I traded in my chunky knit sweaters for bright florals and printed dresses. I’m happy to escape the cold! With the snowstorm the other night, my flight was delayed 7 hours, but gahh, I MADE IT TO MOROCCO. Anyways, once I’m back home, I know I will be layering up like this even more. Who knew winter was going to hit so hard this time around?! Thankfully, I’ll be traveling for work quite a lot up until Christmas. I’m shooting next week in another magical part of the world that I can’t wait to tell you about. For now, it’s all about Morocco, and I’m ready for an adventure! I’m meeting the team in a few for breakfast before exploring this colorful city. I already see some commotion going down outside my window…I can’t wait to get in on the action!

Runaway Gypsy

(Paul & Joe Sister blouse, vintage crochet vest, Seven for all Mankind “Slim Cigarette” denim jeans, Born brogues at shoeline.com, Moni Moni “baby monique” handbag)

These high-waisted ankle blue jeans are just what I’ve been dreaming of. I’m a sucker for a good pair of thick blue jeans during the winter. With socks and brogues, they’re my daily boyish outfit. Someone told me I looked like a gypsy…and that I belonged in The Runaways in this look…must be the old school printed blouse, and colorful crochet vest that could have easily been made from pieces of a wool blanket. I’ll take that as a compliment! Lately, I find myself just throwing together outfits quickly…never really matching. I get bored when I don’t. This week has been filled with mornings up at 5am, meetings at the shoe factory (more surprises coming soon), and of course, getting ready for my big trip to Morocco tonight. I can barely sit here and type, I’m so excited…and still have a million things to do before I’m off to JFK. For now, I’m taking these blue jeans out for another test drive.

TO MOROCCO!

Yep, I am flying out to Morocco tomorrow night and I’m beyond excited for yet another big travel adventure! I am here in my apartment, clothes are spread everywhere, and honestly, I want to bring everything. When I think Morocco, I think prints, colors, and crazy patterns. I threw a bunch of different things in my suitcase. Everything from paisley button-downs, to rock tees, velvet, and leather jackets, to long tie-dyed dresses. Better to bring everything. I’m excited to experience the culture of Morocco and of course, get to capture another beautiful place! These one-week trips always get me inspired on any project I’m working on. With the winter hitting the city, it couldn’t be a better time for this type of escape. Images via Studded Hearts

The new DKNY Core Girl

I can officially announce that I’ll be working as the new DKNY Core Girl!
Believe me, it’s been hard to keep this project secret. This campaign is something I’ll be putting my heart and soul in. Focusing on music, I’ve got quite a lot up my sleeve and tons going through my mind. It’s a dream getting to represent such an iconic beauty company…DKNY Fragrances in particular. The “Be Delicious” scent is like second skin for me. I spray it on my wrists and dab a bit behind my ears every single morning. Here is just an intro…and a little peek inside my excitement for what’s going to be an incredible adventure, jumping into something I haven’t really gotten to share: music. Yelling from the rooftops, I sure am a happy camper. We’ve got our first photoshoot planned for this later this month, and I’m beyond excited to be working with one of my favorite photographers once again. Stay tuned!
